With respect to "third world countries" i thought that this kind of thing will never happen in U.S., but obviously i was wrong. Look at this ABC news broadcast. For those who do not usually watch these news on Yahoo wait for commercials to end and then it will start. 5secs

why did you think that kind of thing could never happen in the us? every country has criminals and people who will make a quick buck from anything so why it surprised you i dont know... america is not immune to everything ya know

I thought it was limited to poorer countries to cut high voltage cables for copper. I remember when entire region in Romania was left without power for a week because there were some 4 or 5 km of 135 kV cables missing. Ok if they break into warehouse but cutting down high voltage cables in US. I am considering converting my accounts in dollars to euros.

lol considering changing from dollars to euros, imsure people steal high voltage cables and copper in europe too.
