The festival will take place, once again, inside Dublin's Burlington Hotel between March 29th and April 1st and put on a host of side events in addition to the main tournament. PaddyPowerPoker have decreased the entry fee from €3,200+€300 to €2,000+€250, so more players can "pay less to enjoy the world famous 'craic' at the Irish Open 2013."

From what i remember the participation was pretty good last year and i do not see why the same will happen this year too
Considering the buy in i do not think more will join the action, i mean at that level is clear that only poker pro will participate so i'm not sure thats a really good move.

Also announced was the return of PaddyPowerPoker’s Sole Survivor promotion which will reward their online qualifier who lasts the longest with €50,000 cash, a WSOP 2013 main event seat and entry to the 2014 Irish Poker Open.
