I was just curious if any of you Mobsters play in Bounty Tournaments and if so do you feel they're worth playing in? I guess I've played a few and tried again last evening and when you take a look at the top three (3) payouts there's really not a lot of cash even if there were 200 players at $2.20 buyin. I mean 1st pays around $40.00 and if you don't knockout 25 or 30 players then you really don't fair to well. What's your thoughts on these type of tournaments?

well i just finished playing in a bounty tournament. I really do not like them in general but felt like giving one a go. your general opinion seems correct. i do not really think they are worth the time or effort normally.

The only way to play a bounty tourney profitable is when you are bigstack and can knock-out a lot of smallstacks (when your over 150 BB and go all in versus players with less than 20 BB)
If you get ITM, normally this will be profit as you already have won your buy-in back with some bounties you won.

S n g bounty I played some, worth or not back to us. How our skill or luck ? I ever develop my bankroll by s n g bounty, and ever broke my bankroll, either. S n g MTT I play some and I don't like it cause never had good result.

generally ko tournaments are more easy than normal ones becouse people play more loose just for the bounty - its indicated to play a tight game on the early stages .

I am with host85. I played some at Pokerstars and many people play very loose because they try to take players out. Normally I am waiting for the right spots and get some nice chips. With this startegy I often make it itm and collect some additional bountys.

it largely depends on how big the bounties are compared to the tourney buy-in. i played a few knock out sng's at stars & found that they r way more aggressive than the usual ones- this creates some opportunities...generally i like them, if u take it slowly, lots of people just r kicked out just because of donking full time, so it leaves u with less competition & tourney structure similar to dons

bounty tournaments are good choices...can find at table people who easy call an all in with something like(J-10) (if they are >average) and can make easy more chips, and on the other hand, with few KO at least the buy in is recovered...and always play any tournament for the 1 place!!!the rebuy tournaments with low buyin on the other hand, specially on stars are sometimes just lotto...

Thanks for the input and those who do feel the same. Although there is something that a few of you mentioned which are the SnG bounty games. I've not played any in this catagory and am currently looking at some $2.20, 9 player SnG bounty games which appear to be a bit more favorable to play. I just might get in one for a check and see. Thanks!
