It's definately 1 of the best books out there but I wouldn't recommend it to a beginner. Strategy and thoughts are far too advanced for a person who's new to the game. I think a good beginners book is Theory of Poker by Sklansky.
how did you find it in comparison to the first super system, i found the first one a really enjoyable read but not very applicable, the part on hold em didnt go much beyond the fact that you should be aggressive and then the other games i still have not found a single place to play (anyone seen jacks or better online?)
ive heard DB SS 2 i very hard one to read and even harder to actually use it in a real game... dont try to read it as your first/second poker book same goes to D Sklansky Theory of Poker... very interesting concepts... but u will have trouble understant them
