Hi all. I play NL and only NL.....done it 4 years. So I'm a virgin in all other kinds of poker
But last night i felt like playing something else, so i took a virgin tour in the poker room at the small stakes. I started out by regging for 2*5 card draw PL 1 dollar sit and go. In the first rounds i thought WTF no cards on the board and then i saw the other guy's discarding....Dohh so thats how u do Got 1 st place in one of them and went out on buble in the other. So it gave me a micro + After that i went to Hold'em Limit cash tables 0,25-0,50 and opened two tables. I've never tried it before....but found out pretty fast that u cant bluff in limit LOL. But after 25-30 min i got the hang of it and the players at the table were really bad. + I hit very good! After 90 min i left the two limit tables wiht 27 profit
I was prepared to spend some buck's on my virgin tour but my virgin luck held up
i agree about stud, but in omaha you can get very lucky, when i first started playing omaha i sat down with 5 bucks at a .25-.25 pot limit table and left half an hour later with $107. i have had good sessions at omaha since but nothing nearly as extraordinary as my first few sessions
