Achilleas Kallakis was once a staple figure on the UKpoker circuit, appearing on a number of TV shows and banking over $300,000 in tournament winnings. Working with Alexander Williams, Kallakis used deeds from a Hong-Kong estate agent to borrow money from the Allied Irish Bank and Bank of Scotland. Despite convincing the banks the property investments were legitimate, Kallakis used the money to fund a lavish lifestyle, which included purchasing a passenger ferry and converting it to a private yacht.

Only time will tell but i think it's very possible that he had inside people on that banks, banks usually don't borrow money unless you have some solid guarantees.
