PokerStars tournament changes  0
PokerStars has made some changes to its 90 and 180-man Sit & Go structures this week.
After reviewing their payout policy, the management team has decided to now reward 27 players in a 180-man tournament, compared to the previous total of 18.
Additionally, 13 runners will now receive a payout in a 90-man Sit & Go instead of 12.
The reason for the changes is to make the tournaments fair for all players when on the bubble.
The winner's prize money for each tournament will remain the same; however, the rest of the payouts will be adjusted accordingly.

2 tables of 7 players instead of an uneven 6 players & 7 players setup @ bubble Blink

Hmm, interesting changes. Maybe I will have a closer look at the tourneys and give them a try.
I am still not defenitely sure what games are the best for me to play.

It seems fair, although I keep thinking they still aren’t attractive enough for me. I keep opting to play single tables, I think that the degree of difficulty to get to the paid places of these 90 and 180 SnGs compared with what you can win if you get there and comparing all this with the difficulty at single table, for me it seems easier.

this adjustment is already running for about a week...

now if you reach itm... in those you still lose money instead of winning..that sucks if you ask me ...

first prizes still the same , only bottom payments are lowered...so the fish get more value for their entries Aww crap! Aww crap! Aww crap! Aww crap! Aww crap! Aww crap! Aww crap! Thumbs Down Thumbs Down Thumbs Down Thumbs Down Thumbs Down Thumbs Down Thumbs Down Thumbs Down Thumbs Down

i would like to have the dons back at stars- yeah i know they were a subject of cheating scandal...but still i liked them...imo it would be harder to cheat if stars would offer a multi table don tourney- say 90 player sng- 45 players double their money...would be interested in those for sure

This is a good economics move for Pokerstars...and indeed any other poker site out there. By paying more places, they will get more players therefore they get more money! Some you win, some you lose. Its called poker!

Sorry but this gotta be the biggest mis-statement I've read in a while..
How is the fish getting more value from lower payouts lowered and top payouts staying roughly the same?
A player with high ROI is having a top-heavy finishing distribution, not necessarily a distribution with a high ITM %.
Anyone with just high ITM % but low amount of top finishes is at most a very marginal winner, most of the time a losing player.

For marginal players this should improve their rate of return slightly while it depresses it slightly for those that are just a little better than marginal. At both the top and bottom end it shouldn't make any difference.

G'day mates

I was also thinking this and I think it will just make them more cash as the donks realize that they can make the money even easier now.

Well best of luck at the tables.

Its like Bemy said above. With adding just one more place they just fixed the format
of the game, making things even between the two final tables.
And of there isnt hand to hand play while on bubble then its even worst, having one
less player on the table.
