Well, what I do in these situations is getting a big enough stack to survive a lot of blinds and then just sit back and wait for either premium hands, others to knock him out or to get to a new table and then I just get back to my normal game.

Hey grahamy27 how much $ you use for this MTT ?i have a strategy for you which make you to save a lot of money and time. Try to register on last 1-2 min of late register and play only AA/KK or fold the hand before the add-on, then you have that 30k to try to win the biggest prize, you will pay only $2.10 or maximum $3.10 if the blind will hit you before add-on.
