2011 bracelet winner David Diaz has been banned from the Rio, and effectively the WSOP, for drunken behaviour. Diaz announced the news on Twitter, saying that he had been banned for harassing people while he was drunk away from the tables Diaz previously won the $1,500 Triple Chance event in 2011 for $352,808.

Maybe he celebrated his win a mittle to much... with some whiskey, girls and some beers and maybe something else....

This is a problem when he need the poker winnings to buy the next drink But with winnings over 300.000$ he have enough money for a homegame in the hotel... And he can waste his time with some online slots.

i don t think is fair ...it was in his free time so if his behave where unacceptable law should take action.He deserve an secound chance (if he hadn t antecedents)& yea... is not an good exemple for no1 so those who encurage him should stop do it cuz maybe he really has a problem and should not drink in the near future if he want an poker career

Some people just don't know how to behave when they've had to much to drink and they carry a chip on their shoulder or money in their pockets. Sad thing is when one reaches a certain level of recognition or fame it carries on with you, where as if it's you or I it just comes and goes without being thrown in your face 3 months from now.
I must say I've never been an ass to anyone. Maybe a bit opionated once in awhile, but that's it.
