Phisix I am not a fan of online poker. Best advice is chill take a break for a week and take up kickboxing Smile I mostly play live now and I am much happier Smile

Just relax, take a break for a few hours and then come back fresh, play at a lower stake to compensate for the smaller bankroll and you'll see that eventually you'll get back up there!

I am. I'm going to watch an episode of something and have a few hours off. I have had weeks and weeks off before at a time, but it wont change the suckouts, chasers and idiots I am afraid. Just pisses me off I do so well one day playing great and the exact next day s**t like that happens.

Me moaning gives me an idea for a thread. I will post it up later, think it will be a thread good for everyone.

Thanks for putting up with my moaning and winging, it helps me let off steam as non of my real life friends like poker.

Yeah good idea, I do that all the time when i am tilting and I do that a lot lol, that must mean I need to work on my mental game, but I am too lazy to do so, so much work to do.

Anyway you should take more than a few hours of break maybe 1 week or more. After 1 to 3 days of rest your mind will be still focused on those suckouts but if you take a break for a longer period, you would forget about them and then be able to play better.

Keep your chin up do not let that affects you and take a nice long break. Cheers good luck hope you bounce back!!

Hey Phisix, yesterday we were talking about the live poker at the other thread, remember? I told you how much fun is live and you have much more opportunities to win big money.

Playing live you could win even with high card! My advice is: Don't waste more money online! If there is a casino near by your house, just visit it, have some fun, meet new people and try the live poker game! Feel the atmosphere! The money which you plan to play online, just save it and play live!

dlkiv, will tell you the same. She quited the online poker. Now she is playing live poker!

This is just a friendly advice! Blink

Quit!

And stop moaning - I can understand the mental state you're in but the fact is this is variance. Every single person who plays multi tables will tell you this.

And the reason live looks 'more realistic' is because technically it is in that there are vastly fewer hands every hour so you don't see all the set on set, backdoor flush etc action as much but trust me it still happens all the same.

Gus Hansen and the rest post yearly swings sometimes - that's right a year of online losses, or 6months or whatever and they are pro's. The reason - variance, poker is a game of chance too and sometimes poker players forget that despite the fact they have watched, read and analysed poker the other guy can keep calling and bingo you 2,3,4,5 times in a row. It's about 60-70% skill the rest is purely chance.

I dont know about the cheese Smile but its definitely a good time to take a break.
And we are not talking about a few hours break or a day.
Take some time to get your mind of, of poker and then go back at the tables.
Good luck.

I know people hate to moan about losses but I find it makes me feel better to let it all out, and I dont care if the millionaire pros lose as it doesnt matter to them as they have the money to burn, but I understand what you mean noon.

I just logged back on to see if there any low buy in MTT's for a change from cash games and there was £15 added to my account. There is a bonus going for blaze where the top 20 people with the most rake on blaze every day win from £80 to £2. So I got some of my losses back. Going to do a MTT I think for a break from cash tables.

Okay your unlucky in this one but it doens't change that you played this hand very poorly. You suck.

No, I'm happy your tilted.

But why minreraise preflop, why not make it 1.60 or something? Just editing and expanding to get my mobpoints, don't really give a s**t about your crappy poker skills.

Bye now

I know mate, it happens. Had my AK crushed by JJ then just had my JJ crushed by AK. Cant be assed to moan so i'll just wait for variance to turn around.

Really somebody wins a tournament by this cards or etc , you lose with this cards.
Yesterday me handed A Qh Suited , me raise to 3b then another boy re-raised me to all-in , i called.
He have A Qs NOT SUITED , and he shoved me with Flush SPADES Sad((

I played cash so these cards are not always as great as they should be, and sometimes most probably mis-lead me.

Now I lost with flush, King high! The other player had flush Ace high and won the hand! But that really hurts, when you lose the hand with flush! Sad

I've also noticed that at PokerStars most of the times, the chip leader of the table has much more opportunities to win. This is a fact. Always the chip leader on any PS table wins most of the hands.

I was thinking may be the software is fixed that way to give more winning opportunities to the chip leader, and the other players who have less chips to be elliminated. Pay attention on this fact!

When you play at PokerStars look how many times the chip leader at your table is winning!

At FullTilt Poker the system is the same. Today I played a freeroll. And I was the chip leader of my table. Every hand I was winning very suspiciously! It was absolutely crazy! Players who had QQ, QK, KK were elliminated and 90% of the time I was winning! It was crazy! I was at first position at the tournament. I had 12 000 chips after 10 minutes of playing! Confused

Then when I play at FullTilt and when I have less chips, always the chip leader win most of the times and elliminates the others.

I think the software is created that way.
What is the motive? Yes there is a motive:

If you have less chips than the others, you have to rebuy or make a deposit and the poker site is winning that way. So, that is why it is logical to receive more losing hands and when you lose your chips, to make a rebuy or deposit. But if you are a chip leader, it is logical to to receive more chips as a chip leader, and others to be elliminated!

Do you know how the poker sites win their money? They win only from entry fees, rebuys, addons and rake! Remember that! I know this for sure! They have explained it to me! More rebuys, more rake, that means more money for the site!

For example: Sunday Kickoff Tournament at Pokerstars, the entry fee is $109 ($100 + $9)
Do you know what does it mean the money after + ? That means the money for PokerStars. $9 from each player are going for PokerStars, $100 from each player is for the tournament prize pool.

Remember that!

Please, pay attention on that fact!
