hello, this hand was in redkings poker. small blind 25 big blind 50. i have JJ in first position,i call (no raise because the button raise a lot always),in middle position the player calls, and the buttom raise to 2,50$. Small blinds fold, big blind call, i call and the middle position fold. Flop: J 8 2 (rainbow). The big blind check, i check, and the buttom want steal (bets the pot). big blind reraise to 10 dollars, i rereraise to 20, the buttom fold and the big blind make allin (80 dollars) and i call with my set (54 $). His cards: 88 vs my JJ. the turn¿?¿??¿?¿ a 8. i didnt play poker in this month.

No I don't think so. JJ is false strength which should be protected by a raise/reraise preflop. Over 50%(actually I think over 60%) of the times the flop will bring an overcard to scare you and because of that you want to narrow the number of opponents down. After that I would cbet min 2/3 pot on allmost any flop.

Why do you gay raise the flop, raise properly or don't. Gay/click-raise=huge strength so against a thinking player you will only scare him away maybe he will call/fold since you give him odds(you tell how strong you are and makes it as cheap as possible for opponent to draw out on you). This time it was set vs set so you got action but in most cases you will get better profit by betting your set since a check-raise shows huge strength and you got nuts so you don't wonna look strong.

------------
PS if you know Button is very loose pre and is 3 betting light, then raise it up let him 3 bet and then 4 bet him and take it down pre with low risk.

I believe your call wasnt that wrong, QQ should be protected hard.
Laydown JJs at any Q K A, but in this case its really not important cause 8s would have been called preflop, you should have bet the flop hard, no place to trap here.
Anyway set of 8s would have call the bet on the flop too, so you got unlucky.

Opponent could easily have 9Ts and have an openend straight draw that you force him to see with the click raise. You also give him the chance to check behind you and see draw free.

Got almost the same with 10 10 10 as top set vs 8 8 8 ...in my case there was over 70€ in the pot...but in my case the 8s pushed it in as me sitting on the button...so i had no chance to fold that hand... Aww crap!

turn 8 --> got me very mad Angry

I had AK suited and raised preflop. two guys called..... flop: 5 A K. two hearts. the first one checks, I go all in and the guy on the button calls. I'm like "s**t... he slow played aa or kk or a draw" but no this guy has 88. Im like "what the hell??" river: 8...... Thumbs Down I couldnt believe how he called that s**t.
