I know I'm doing exactly what the online poker sites want-- winning money and then losing it all to their blackjack table. I'm a good enough poker player to make money and while my income is still far above debt, ever since poker sites have promoted blackjack alongside poker, I've been making less and less.
Hell, I've been going broke quite a bit. Luckily none of it has been with my own deposits so far but it still hurts. Obviously I know that all I need is a bit of self-control to stay away from a game that I'm losing money on, but I was wondering if there was any way to block blackjack clients. Or are they completely attached to the poker programs?
I feel I need something like that to sway me away for a bit. If not that, I wouldn't mind knowing that some guy named Vinny will come and break my legs if I go broke with my bankroll. I don't feel I would without blackjack.

yeah. blackjack is for me a true gamble with an edge for the house. thanks for reminding me why i keep my fingers off this
in the ipoker network you can deactivate the casino-games button in the options. on PKR you need to contact the support and they deactivate it within 24 hours or something like that.

i know how you feel mate i got the same problem, when i am playing poker and the table is a bit slow i tend to wonder on the blackjack table(BIG MISTAKE LOL), at first it was win win win but now its just lose lose lose, it drives me crazy but it is hard to keep away from it i must try harder, any way good luck on the poker tables old chap
It's easy, play at Full Tilt and PokerStars only as they both don't promote Blackjack there. I'm also addicted to it but I'm glad that my favorite site is Full Tilt.

Contact your pokerclient regarding your query, at some sites you can deactivate casino games, some sites you can set a limit and at some sites you can't do anything. Besides that it's pretty simple, you have to decide wether you are playing for the entertainment or you are playing to make some extra bucks. If you choose number 2 you obv have to stick to the games where you got an edge. Casino games are without doubt -EV.

hey...heres a solution... cut off both your hands. well, obviouslly you'd need to get someone else to cut off your second hand...unless you can hold a knife in your teeth....but that should work. you can even claim it was the poker clients fault and sue. hope the advice is useful and good luck

That sucks, obvious solution is just stop playing blackjack but seems like you like it too much. Ya, maybe try another pokerroom that doesn't have blackjack.

if you cannot stop blackjack you might have some addiction problem.
lets face it: gambling can be addicting!
if you just dont want to stop blackjack you maybe need to make an own budget for that. like a budget for the bar or the movie theatre. but spending your poker money on it and afterwards beeing angry with yourself is definitely no good

omg dude..
i thought i wrote your post..
i have been asking pokersites to ban the blackjack button from my softwares..
never got answers tho..
it just hurts when you make a k in a day and lose it in 5 minutes to KK vs 3-6-2-Q--lol
i know the obvious solution is stop playing..but for me it is /was always the same procedure.. make money on the table..leave the table...boredom..see the blackjack button...betting 5....winning...betting 5...winning...betting 1000 and lose
blackjack is still fun tho..although i never win and i rule

Fortunately I saw this post. I like playing Blackjack but I'm still an amateur... and I wanted to try this game at the poker room. After reading this post, I think I'll never try it ^^

Nothing wrong in playing casino games but you have to decide before you start how much you will spend on it and exspect to lose cause casino games are designed for you to lose. Sometimes it goes well, if it does RUN and don't look back cause you will probably lose your winnings next time you play

First thing i do now when going to a new site remove the temptation, i love to play and gamble of any sort but am tired of seeing casino games on a pokersite, you should get the option when downloading, or i should just get more self controll lol. But on most sites you can remove it Dupa on some you have to email them, also is it just me or is it whenever you raise your bet dealer hits BJ, lets have a pole should BJ be removed from poker sites?

Although it may not be as popular as the slot machines, Blackjack is King of the card games. Simple to learn, Blackjack is one of the few online casino games that can actually return a Player's Advantage when played with accurate strategy. There are several variations of Blackjack, more of which can be found on the internet than in land-based casinos.
