Amarillo Slim quote: "Son I've made a life out of reading people's faces, and knowing what their cards were by the way they held their eyes" So what do u think about sunglasses culture at the poker tables?

It's an interesting concept that I don't think 1970's poker rooms would ever allow, but in today's social media Internet high tech driven high stakes, pretty much anything goes. I wonder whether I would be allowed to wear a scream mask and hoody at the next WSOP?

Of cause the sunglasses are put on to avoid being read by the Amarillo Slims of this world. Same with the hoodies ala Phil Laak. The next thing will be announcing your bets and raises through a voice changer.

I really dont care if they wear sunglasses or not because my reading skills are non-existent!! But seriously though i think that these should be banned along with headphones and hoodies. They will be playing in full body armour next!!!!

It works for many as it would work for me also if it was only my eyes giving me away. I have never played live, and there is no chance of playing for real money, since i dont have what it takes, when it comes controlling myself and emotions, depending on the cards and the results

I wear my sunglasses at night... Nice song, but it looks a little bit stupid at the poker tables. Without emotions at the live table, this game would be boring. Or all people at the final table wear sunglasses- the men in black

That would be really cool. Picture this every player in the next WSOP final table event is told that they are to wear a black suit. They are all given the same kind of mirrored black sunglasses and then they all walkout to the song playing "Sharp Dressed Man", by ZZ Top. How many of them do you think would go change at the first break? LOL be cool

Some players definately need them some definately don't. Take for example Tom Dwan, it has one bullet proof poker face, you can't read anything from him.
On the other part tons of new live poker players need them, they are useful for sure.
