We all know the never ending story about the BrM Tourneys on PokerStars... So I've decided to play them totally differently than before as I mentioned in another thread....
It just seems like a TOTAL waste of a good thing by NOT playing them, so I've decided to experiment for the current 3 month leaderboard period...
Starting on Feb 1st I've been shoving EVERY hand until 'do or die'... Obviously this is NOT a good strategy for winning at poker,...but the frustration factor of battling with complete IDIOTS will now come to an end for me.
I play 7 of the 8 tourneys per day,...and to THIS point since Feb 1st I have not even cashed for so much as .05c,...but I fear not as I know it only takes a few final tables or 2 or 3 1st or 2nd place finishes to get into the Top 30 positions for CASH on the board...so I figure in the 630 tourneys I will play,...I'm bound to at LEAST score big in 2 or 3 tourneys...
I've turned frustration into FUN, as now instead of ME swearing at the idiots,....they are swearing at and calling ME names...until I knock THEM out with JUNK like 9 2 off,....and Ace rag,....and 8 3 off,....and so on... Hilarious....!
I'm sorry if you wind up at a table with me and I P!$$ you right off,...but you can take your chances knowing that I'm playing ANYTHING all in and maybe you can take all my chips and knock me out,....but you ALSO know how things work in them.... 10 2 off almost ALWAYS cracks your AA KK etc....
Good luck folks!!!

So i see that you got beaten at the end demodawggy. If you cant beat them, join them, right ? You may have fun, but from what it seems you are cashing less, so you may need to rethink your "strategy"
Even if the prizepool is so small, it is a massive field multi table tournament and, you know, the variance in these is extremely high, you can play absolutely perfect and you can wait hundreds of games for a "big score".

Don't agree with your strategy against donks. They do not shove all hands as you do.Their game plan is by shoving and hit to gather a playbale stack. So they reach a certain point when they have lets say around 100 BB with average stack is 40.From that point and later try to push over other players who are trying to hit draws. For example AK and flop 5 7 J.Chipstack bully makes you to go all in with nothing at your hands.Whats your say here?By personal experience more likely is to face painful exit than hit a pair.Thats the plan gather chips by playing like a donk then get serius and fight

i also found a strategy that works, you try to build a decent stack in first few mins (i usually late reg though, to skip first few crazy hands where pretty much everyone goes all in), and then go do something else for like 1hr or so. once u come back u should still have a playable stack but with donks most likely gone and can actually play some postflop game too.
btw dont bother calling in early/mid pos at all, unless u got aa/kk/AKs, in first few mins of this freeroll, someone is bound to shove pretty much every hand, and usually its more than one peron doing it too, so your AKo or even qq/jj dont have so great odds vs 3-4 callers.
once i had 6 people shove same hand, it was like watching one of those ps flip freerolls and even if all of them have something like 2-7o, 4-9o etc, someone always hits something, and that one is rarely you
just gotta learn how to survive first 'wave' of donkness and once there are like 200ppl left, people start actually playing instead of going all in with 47s on AJT rainbow flop

whatever yanks your crank demo...just don't forget to update with the results when your challenge is done, will be interesting to see the outcome. who knows maybe this will turn out to be the most profitable and easiest to handle strategy in since poker was invented. well at least one will have plenty of fun busting dudes with AA's holding only "premium" 26o

I cant see how you can win if you are shoving every hand, surely the law of averages will get you in the end. If you shove with your good hands then you might have a bit of a chance but the other way you will lose.I look forward to reading about your results and good luck to you

Posted by Macubaas: I guess some mobsters that play the freerolls won't be happy to learn about your strategy lol
No,...they are not. You can tell by all the all the ugly names they've been calling me...lol... but even then I'd bet that they aren't even Mobsters... Just the facebook freerollers who call with JUNK themselves then complain when they get OUT-Donked...

Wrong....not looking to join them,....just OUT-Donk them....

It's not REALLY a strategy my friend.... Just having fun messing with their heads...

I've actually gotten to the point where I've accumulated enough chips to actually get INTO the money,...but kept shoving anyhow.... I want ALL the chips....!

To this point pochui,... I'm batting .000 ,.... 0 for 42 tourneys...
...BUT,.... my strategy has paid off handsomely when it comes to the Round 1 Daily Freerolls over on Full Tilt... In the last 3 months I've accumulated about 200 tickets by shoving EVERY hand and have used about 25.
My current running balance is 173 tickets... Good for 10 years! I figure stock up now while the getting is good...

You very seldom win,...but when you get on a run,....you blow them all away...

Of course, because it is Doyle Brunson's hand.
I learned from a true master....

Even more, we could all do it and demostrate that u can win a poker tournament with no skill .
It's just TOO tiring and profitless to take those tourneys seriously... I'm just in it for the masochistic enjoyment now......

i actually find it rather easy to get itm there, but considering itm is like 3-5 cents...
i think your new approach is wrong. like totally totally wrong. you shouldnt go all in every single hands, but every 3rd hand instead, to confuse your opponents. also, cards u are shoving with dont really matter, we all know any 2 cards can win it !
seriously now, i know its hard to keep your cool when every single time you raise someone just shoves so i just try to play late positions only, whenever possible. If i want to get involved in that hand and im not holding aa/kk/ak/etc, i just wont participate in it at all.
everything else is just adding money to the pot, for xx donk to steal it. Almost every single hand someone is bound to shove and ur most likely gonna fold, or make a bad call because u cant take it anymore and i dont like either option, so just play them more conservative and you should be fine. well most of the time thats it

Exactly, These tournaments get closer and closer to Pokerstars ALL-IN shootout festival promotion. It is amazing how donks plays EVERY single hand like junkies .Cmon guys fold one hand out of ten:No, the answer of one ,at last, educated donk. Have to play, why?Because we are here to play OK, how about folding since you did not hit something at flop? What do u mean nothing?Wait turn and river to see my str8 and four card flush OMG
