Never watching a movie(really?) but one thing is sure:that some browsing happens .But, i have to make clear that i do not playing high buy in tournaments,not even middle, when this happens.Only talking about freerolls tourneys where players play whatever hands they like.If i play real money i try to keep myself away from distractions but internet is always there.Sports take some of my attention specially when i put a bet on a certain game.

The main ingredient for playing good poker is 100% concentration. It is easy to get distracted at home and on the PC so you have to find a way of managing yourself so that you resist the temptation to do something else. It's not easy but give it a try.

There are distractions at some point, unless multitabling that doesnt allow to see other things over the net. But even the tv is enough for it. I cant play poker and do only that. It is too boring for me, no matter what the game is

I do drift off myself if I'm not consentrating on my game, so to stop this I play up to 3 different site's at once pokerstars,sky poker and Duck poker.

Occassionally get distracted....!
Between having 3 or 4 or 5 games going all at once,...plus the idiot box on my favorite shows,...and eBaying,....it gets quite busy, but I manage somehow to keep track of what no good other players are up to...
Sometimes though, I miss playing a hand that otherwise was the knutzzzzzzzz.... and lose out on a big pot...
Now THAT is a big bummer. I just say to myself: "Pay attention....IDIOT...!!!"

i have different problems... i have offline distractions while playing online :/
online distractions are ok, sure you cant open that many tabs (so you should limit yourself to 50 tops !) while playing 8 or so zoom tables, but hey c'est la vie.
but seriously now, if you are just one tabling its kinda ok to kill your time while waiting between turns, as long as you already know your opponents. but if not, your time is better spent observing the way they play, instead of watching youtube cats videos, imo

I am always watching television when i play and this is always my downfall when playing marginal hands. I suppose the more serious poker players will be locked away in a room somewhere with no distractions but i only play for fun

depends on people some can play lots of tables and still do other things on their computer and they still win more money. They play better when they multi task. And you have those that cannot play distracted and can only play poker at a time and if distracted will play badly.
I can play distracted with 2 tables and browsing not more!

this happens to me all the time unless im playing 2 or more tables at ones. but i found the best thing to do when playing a long internet game is listen to music always helps me get in the poker mode and keeps my head in the game always study your opponents
