I don't know cause I just starting playing cash games. Haven't made it to that level yet If its low stakes I just buy in for a tenth of my bankroll, if I lose that I move down a limit.

check out the challenge Chris Ferguson took where he wanted to get 0$ to 10K$ He had a rule of not playing for more than 1-3% of the bankroll at a time. How this would be in cash game is not obviously but if you sit at the table with around 1-3% of your bankroll it should be ok. If this is not possible then either gamble or monev down in level

As a rule you should have a bankroll of 10X the max buy-in, but Im quite happy to go for it at 5X and only bring in half of the max, so i still can re-buy up to 10X

ten times the buyin is perfect.i just remember if im getting beat at the tables to bad to drop limit cauz sometimes it doesnt get any better at the tables.or stop playing for a couple days.
