So late last night I wound up winning a WPT Sub Qualifier ticket worth a mere .50c buy in into a Qualifier for a $10 Qualifier...!
It was to start at 1:00am local, too close to bedtime , so I decided to de-register and play it another time...!
When I went to de-register, turns out it was too late for that as I won it less than 15 minutes before the next one started, so I had no choice to play it and saw myself possibly being up really late.
So the game starts, I get a good pocket and decide I'm just gonna shove and see what happens. Maybe it'll be worth staying up for. After all,...it was ONLY a .50c ticket!
BAM,....I kill it and doubled up!
After a few hands, I realize that out of the 9 players,... 7 were sitting out,...and 2 were in. Me, and the guy just to my left.
So he just kept raising every hand,...and I got a little tired of that, so when I got a good pocket I shoved, hit, and reduced his stack to practically nothing. Next hand I finished him off and he didn't re-buy.
The player that replaced him was ALSO a sitter-out,...so I found myself at the table all by my lonesome...
< Boo-Hoooooooooo...... NOT!!!
I just sat there and raised every hand for about 35 to FOURTY minutes winning EVERYTHING...!
I went from about 2,500 chips to over 40,000 and was in 1st place by about 12,000 chips by the time the tables balanced and I found myself playing for REAL now....
So it went on for a few hours and I wound up at the final table and finishing in 5th for about $3.80. Not much really, but only ONE away from a $10 ticket that I would have gotten $10 cash for.
I was short stack with about 3,000 chips,...got a chance with A Q suited and shoved... BAM....Out...!
Fun while it lasted...! Too bad it wasn't always that easy...!

Its always nice to be sat on a table with all the others sitting out. This rarely happens but when it does its always very pleasant. You seem to run good on these freerolls and you must be playing poker 24/7.Good luck to you on the tables

It looks that it was not worth it, time wise and the amount of money you won and the jackpot was not enough, but if you are playing several tables at the same time with many freerools then it would be good to go. Cheers happy that you played well and managed to come out 5th out of so much entrants. So good luck mate, keep enjoying the games and hope to catch a good upswing when you playing the main events.

Thanks gents...!
It's well worth playing those WPT tourneys Heskor my man....! Not only would I just LOVE to get a free $1,000 buy in to the live event,...but I've raked in $50 so far playing them...!
I haven't been to Montreal since about 1978,....so that would be a real blast...! Great little town Montreal is...!!!
The cops are nuts there too.... We were hitchhiking back to Ontario from Nova Scotia in about 1977. It was dark out when we were leaving Montreal from the west side of town. A Montreal cop picked us up and gave us a ride to the end of the street lights along the Trans-Canada Highway.
He said he was in a hurry...so he just FLOORED it and drove approximately 120 mph (nearly 200 kph) to where he was going to drop us. We asked if it was cool to camp out in the ditch beside the highway,...he said sure,...he'll tell his buddies to leave us alone....! So we did...
Set up the tent,...got a tea at the truck stop across the highway,...came back and rolled a BIG fattie...!

Not a bad result at all, if you consider the game you played and how you played it. Probably you were a little bored and you wanted to get over with it, as soon as possible but it turned out a cashing one

I was the ONLY one at the table Mober...! Everyone else was sitting out...!
I had the cursor right over the raise button to hit it as fast as possible before anyone came back so as to maximize winnings...!
Not only that,...but because they were all sitting out and losing chips,...I wound up knocking out about 6 of them...!

Aha. I like these games. Rare to hit such a table, especially in money games, but when it happens you almost guaranteed a prize money. Not to mention that you can watch tv and dont care at all about the game

Interesting tale of an evenings poker there Demo..... Those tables are a mixed blessing when they are full of sitter outers, you need to focus even more when the action does come in terms of other players turning up who have also no doubt been playing against empty tables and the dynamics change dramatically for both or each of you so thats the time to stay focused and maximise your opportunity and ability to keep building your stack and standing in the tourney.
