There are a few similarities between the two games in that you must have a plan in your head before playing either game. I think that training your mind for chess will always give you an edge in other sorts of mind games

This is not the only case, i saw more similar stories on russia whre chess tournaments are very poorly paid so players migrated to poker ...

i used to really like playing chess when i was younger,and i know that i am a much better chess player than a poker one.
