So, I have a ticket to tonights $20 HU game on Party. The problem is, I suck BADLY at HU games. So your mission, if you chose to accept it, is to give me all the tips I need to win...
... No pressure but I am currently in the process of withdrawing all online funds as on a major downswing that is hurting just a little too much, so gonna start again on less games, smaller games and freerolls. So I need to win this and cash for at least $110 to break even on the week
Soooooo starting stack Blinds increase every How many min?
Mostly you can look at what the opponent does,..... Is he agressive ore he bets only one blind... Does he fold easily on a bet... when people bet and its a dry board you can give it a stab and call when he raise ... After flop no bet raise but its hard to say when i cant see the player......
You can read some people very easy

Are you familiar with cashgames? Then just play the first few levels just like that to keep it simple. Raise many SBs, either your villain is tight and will fold often eniugh to make it profitable, or he's loose and you can play postflop in position comfortably. Non-showdown winnings are very important, so act accordingly depending on the Villain. It's very hard to give advice because it largely depends on the villain, and obv. we don't know who u play against.

G'day mates
Just want to wish you both the best of luck. My advice heads up means you can open up your preflop starting hand range. You still want to fold 50% of the crap hands you will start with. But do not be afraid to see the flop whenever the price to do so is cheap enough. You hit the flop get aggressive fast. be cool

Having a villain fold 50% of their hands (or even more) would be a villain I'll play all day any day, so no, I don't see how this is gonna be good. Lets assume in all hands villain folds 50% of their hands in the BB. We can minraise every hand in SB and be largely profitable doing so. In 1/2 hands we win 1bb uncontested on investing 2BB. Then on hands we dont win the hand preflop we have equity for our actual hand and position postflop. So having a VPIP of only 50 won't get one far in HU

HU is all about executing a strategy and reading your opponents.
10 min blinds allow you so much time to do this, and the most imperative aspect of this is to BE PATIENT.
Look for spots you can exploit, read betting patterns and just absorb your opponents strategy. Finding out their strategy also helps a great deal. Just watch.
that's the newest leaderboard, I don't know where the old ones are
Thanks! Now I remember...
I did opt in thinking there was no chance I would get enough points, since I don't get many points usually. It's just that I've been playing cash lately, and it's going well, so without noticing, I think I stumbled into the top 100.
That's a nice surprise...
I did notice I'm eligible for the BRM $200 freeroll tonight as well, for the first time. It's a bit awkward that it's at the same time though...
Who knows, maybe I stumble into the prizes as well...
I can handle 2 tables, it's just that HU is high concentration, never did that multitabling before... Besides, HU tournaments are lots of waiting for the other matches to finish...

Play the cards i would advice against the fish in freerolls or promotion heads up games you will most likely be facing a fish so let him level himself by donating hist stack to you when you play good cards and he does not hit anything also read a bit about push and fold strategy that will help if the heads up is more of a low chips match up. Anyway good luck mate hope you have fun and win the match, doing badly here for now. Lost some stacks and betting not going well! Cheers watching the Manu game to blow off steam now!

Not sure if i'm the best person to give advice here but I usually play aggressive, but carefully, I min raise almost any hand and just about always give a small poke on the flop, decisions from there is definitely villain dependant. HU is mostly about outplaying the other person, only time cards matter is if you have a lot of showdowns against the villain. Be careful not to get to carried away with bets eithers because HU... well they can get rather large very quickly, in any 1 given hand you can be all-in. Chip them down while you wait for something decent and when you know your ahead of their range, take advantage of them. Don't be afraid to switch up your game, you always have to change gears, sometimes check with the best and get paid for the rest.
Hard to give advice though, HU is truly a villain dependant game.
