I know, everyone has one...but I think mine is a pretty good one (or pretty bad, rather ) I was at a casino a couple of hours from here and decided to sit down at a 5/10 NL game - I bought in for $250 - and through some tight play and being card dead for about an hour I was down to about $200 and getting a little bit bored/frustrated. I looked down at K J in the cut-off position, with one limper in front of me so I threw in a standard raise of $40 (3X the BB plus an extra BB for the limper) I got called by the button, SB, BB, and the original limper-who I will further refer to as the villain-and we were 5 to the flop which came: 10 J J - the villain raised it $50 and I thought "here's my chance" (HAHA) and went all-in - the button folded, as did the SB...then the BB re-reaised to $500!!!, at which point I was really wishing I had more money...the villain called and we were 3 to the turn which came: A - the villain through in about a pot-sized raise and the BB thought for a while then folded - so the villain took the side pot of a little over $300 and we were heads up awaiting the river - I was already all in, so we flipped over our cards - I was shocked when I saw the villain turn over A 7 - and was ready to rake in the pot when the dealer turned over the A giving the villain a full house aces full of jacks beating my jacks over aces - I was so furious - I gave the guy a dirty look and said something to the effect of "nice call on the flop you F#*(%^# donkey" at which point the pit boss asked me to watch my language or I'd be asked to leave...I told him I was leaving already and stormed out of the poker room - and then the casino - with smoke coming out of my ears!
So there you have it - my one and only bad beat story - I've had others - but that one definitely hurt the worst - feel free to share your stories with me, or mock me and ridicule me for my horrible play But don't bother telling me "thats poker", because I know!

yep thats poker unfortunately for u he had too much money to care about, but then again he could have pocket 10s or a flush draw, just not ur day.not as bad as what i saw last week at the casino.had aj,raised, was reraised, then next player went allin,i folded,to reraises,my aj was looking not so good by then, anyway they flipped,1010vs77.flop comes 1077.wow,see that sometimes,a 2 on the turn, old mate with 7s high fiveing his mate, yeah hes carrying on,fair enuff you got quads, but quess what, the river.........a 10.cruel.altho the look on the old boys face was priceless.poker can give you the bestof times and the worst of times.lucky for me,didnt want to fold my aj,but hey, lucky for me.
Posted by GeneYuss: BB re-reaised to $500!!, This is a crazy hand, very strange. Looks like it was played poorly by a few players (Not by you) and its a $5/$10.
Yeah, I've replayed this hand over and over in my mind and I stil can't figure out what I could have done differently (other than folding pre-flop) to avaid the same outcome. All I could put the BB on was the nut flush draw ( which kind of bugs me, too, because that means the villain had 1 out on the river, and he hit it )
The only thing you did wrong was that you didn't watch your language. I don't like it when players don't take their losses with their heads held high. But sometimes it's difficult to have a grip on yourself when things like this happen.

plain simple fact is there is no reason why people play the way the do.its just chaos poker.theres no rules for that.sometimes you just dontt care if you win or losewhich is when you tend to win.
