I play kk like i dont give a sh! T if someone has AA preflop. ..obviously slow down if ace hits on flop...but cant play kk scared preflop.

I love the first part of this quote! It is a perfect example of perhaps how life ( and poker, at times) should be. Play like it is everything to win and don't let defeat get in the way. You win some, you lose some. If you don't get involved, you will never win!

Well, i dont consider my self a p***y, but this was a deep stack (hand above with folding KK), playing 16 hrs already - level 27, 30 mins. It is a$2.75, 500$ guaranteed, somewhere arround 1000 was a total.
If I had pay this - I would got out 8th (at least risked to get out) with $20. Why to risk - I will wait another hour for MY hand, not to play HIS. So, i folded. The guy was out (bad beat, three hand later), 4 of us chop the final prize - I was out with $130. I think this explains why.
Do I consider myself a p***y? Hmmm... dont know, take a look...

Well, it wasn't you that I called a p***y. But if you're folding KK in mid-late MTT stages, just to hold on to a min-medium cash, then you're a total p***y.

I agree for that.
Didn't take it it wrong, no worries - just tried to explain that there might be situations when is justified. but, I fully agree - NEVER play for few spots better, few cents more! WIN, FT or nothing (except in satellites, obviously).

just happened few minutes ago... 3-bet, raised, all-in (by me), three out 4 called. all pre flop all in!
lovely.

Lucky card though with your one out. Love when that happens though.

Says enough of what? He hit the one card in the whole deck that could beat those AA. Tongue PF that is.

...Unless I'm at or very near the bubble,...KK is getting shoved preflop anytime, ...any position,...ESPECIALLY UTG...!!! Shock

I don't like the idea of letting folks see a flop and giving them funny ideas,...but the more folks in before the cards come down...the merrier...and profitable...! Big Smile Thumbs Up Dollar

No mate,

you should definitely not be folding this 100% of the time when your opponents have a lot of money left. In my opinion you should never fold it unless it is against a super mega hyper giga tight player.

I think I need to correct my last post. Maybe you should fold KK against an all in. I was just playing a tournament and decided to go all in with JJ and got called from a pair of K. The river brought me a jack and I won.

Folding KK depends on the ammount of BB you have and the read that you have on your opponent. In a deep stack game with a tight villian, I would fold with without any doubts but, in a short stack game with a loose agressive villian, I would call without a doubt, As I said, depends on many things. Pay attention to the game. Thumbs Up

People often con themselves into thinking they have a "read" on players when playing online... It's just not true - you may have a feeling, but you cannot have a read on them. However loose or tight the opponent, I'm almost never folding KK preflop - when you're up against aces, so be it.. but tricking yourself into thinking you have a read, and they definitely have aces will work out against you in the long run.

I agree with yout85. That "read" expression in poker I believe is meant for live poker,
or one that you can actually see your opponent, like the poker with video cameras.
Other than that is feeling and notes you have for the players.

Just got my ass kicked with KK vs AJ, I knew the villian had A-10+ and I was happy with it. But, unfortunatly, got my a$$ kicked again.

I just live with it, it happens.

GL! Dollar Dollar Dollar

Yesterday I was playing the social media freeroll on Pokerstars. I was lying in very good position and found AA. A minimum raise before me and I reraised in late position - all called. The flop was not dangerous so I pushed and lost agaist 2 pair.
