This might just be the most incredible achievement in online poker history. Believe it or not but Pablo "Gordiju" Gordillo, a Spanish pro who resides in London, won three major Sunday tournaments on PokerStars in the same session by defeating a total field of 42,967 players! What are the odds? Well, 1 in 350,000,000,000 if we should believe what is said on some poker forums (any math experts?).

Wow, what a day this guy has had. I dont think i could play in three tournaments in one day, never mind win all three. The level of concentration on these top players is something to be admired

G'day mate
Actually if I read it correctly he said he played in 100 tournaments on Sunday like he does every Sunday. He had a messly 3% win rate but what a wonderful payday overall. Three 1st place finishes out of 100 is very profitable if they are the correct 3 be cool Ronin

yes we talked about this there is no question that luck was involved but he was able to give himself the chance to make this achievement , believe it or not he was a losing player before this and considered to be part of the weak pros who keeps losing but when you believe everything could happen , and he perfectly used the luck he was having plus good play and patience now his challenge begin , he must prove himself worthy and keep getting wins , of course he wont be able to do this again , no one would
Great achievement,.. Hope i can follow some day I seen a dutch guy won two times in a row the major event on 888 on sundays.. That was also nice ,.. And i bet you there are many storie's more.... I seen a guy once won a huge payout....sunday storm i bellieve .always played smal stakes.. Did follow the day after and 250/500 $ and 500/1000 $

Not quite on the same level... but when I was 18 I used to play an $11, $3,000 GTD on William Hill virtually every night...
One of the nights I took down 1st place for $800... The next day I finished 4th for $130 then the day after I finished 2nd for $590...
It's incredible how runs happen like this... don't know if it's a confidence thing, a comfort feeling... or just luck, but poker always seems to be very streaky for me.
------------ ...Don't like the maths here btw.
350 billion to 1 would be the straight odds of winning each tournament, assuming all players are of equal ability, and those were the only 3 tournies he was playing.
He played ~100 tournies that day, and even though he was losing before, he would've been way above average in skill level compared to the majority of the field.
I would say the odds are closer to this:
He wins roughly 1 in 1500 MTTs played... so if playing 100 per day, his chances of winning one is 14/1... his chance of winning 3 in one day would be roughly 14*14*14 = 2744/1. The chance of those 3 being the biggest prizepools out of the hundred are roughly 33*33 = 1089/1...
So the chance of him winning those 3 tournies was roughly 2744*1089 = 2,988,216 to 1
Some of you may be able to find fault with some of my reasoning here... but my figure is WAY closer to the truth than the 350 billion to 1....

yes one In 350 Billion only if he played only those 3 that night yout85 is more precise though we will never know the correct odds because someone would have to consider an important factor which is the size of the field in each tourney anyhow it is high and very unlikely , guess we will have to wait years to see this again , some would achieve 3 big final tables in one night but to win 3 major tournaments is spectacular
yout85 that was great winning 1500$ in 3 days and same MTT , i bet your younger version was so happy

Cheers what a run winning all the 3 majors pokerstars Sunday tournaments and having people over enjoying it and looking at your success and congratulating you, this is surely his best time ever he had i presumed and hope he continues to win big. Also hope it happens to one of us mobsters and we can brag about it but you got to have some skills and resilience to win those and not get carried away. Cheers for the news peace out guys and have fun and goo luck at the poker tables!

WOW....... What an achievement, and also what an achievement of you guys in seeking to determine the odds of this player winning, in these circumstances and with such accuracy. I am truly humbled and impressed at your mathematical ability.

A great achievement and it seems to be continuing as I have just been looking at the end of day 3 results for EPT London and there are 36 players left and our hero Pablo is running good and in 10th place-already guaranteed £11,400 and first place gets half a million ££££. He is definitely playing out of his skin lately.
