Well it's about 2 hours to my weekly friday night live game. Been 3 weeks since I won there. Usually about 70 people with on average 60-70 rebuys ($20 a pop). 3 weeks ago I had everything hold up all night and steamrolled the competition getting my money in ahead in all but 3 of the hands I played for the night (3 other times were 2 coinflips and 1 dominated A calling short stacks allin).
2 weeks ago I just got unlucky ended up busting out shortly after the rebuy break with A9 vs. A8 on a A73 flop. Don't mind that I know I played it right. Last week I was card dead from point A all the way to point B. Saw 2 real hands Js on the first hand of the night, flopped a set and was crushed 3 handed by a straight and a flush. Other was 8s at the end and I went out short stacked vs. 9s Oh well.
This week I hope to return to the steamroller of a few weeks back and burden my pocket with another K courtesy of everyone else.
So where ever you may be tonight may you be lucky whether its in cards or other endeavors.
Wish me luck and if I take down any of the cash tonight I will see you all on Sunday @ Action.

Well I did well but I just missed the money and they usually pay the final table.
Rebuy hour was good to me. I was able to big a really nice table image by showing some monster hands. Played one big pot that I quadrupled up in showing As and Qs. Another pot I flopped a set on an under rainbow board and made good return on the slowplay. Turned the boat and reraised the guy on the river when he bet 1400, he folded but I showed it. As preflop and the same guy laid down A10 suited so I showed that, set of Js I showed, and top 2 pair on the flop I showed.
Then the real fun started after the rebuys were over. Starting stack was 1K and I had 8 by the break. After that I went about using the image to steal numerous pots. Putting in average raises in position preflop and taking it down when I bet the flop. Then I ran out of cards and the blinds got to 800/1600 when I got moved . My image on that table was no good none of them had been at my original table.
I went 13th out of 60 with 65 rebuys. Wanna hear an opinion on the only hand I might have played differently.
I had 9s preflop blinds 400/800 in late position. 3 limpers so I decide to put in a raise and clear it out a little so I make it 2200 to go so 1400 raise and all the limpers call so I got position at least. Flop comes KhQc6c and its checked to me last to act. Decide I gotta take a shot and see if my 9s are good so I fire in a bet of 4K which left me comfortably with about 8-10 bb if I didn't pick it up. Goes fold, fold, and the last person pushes over the top. I sat there and thought about it for awhile and I had to fold I still had chips and I put the guy on the K with a flush draw.
Only thing I might have done differently was check and see the turn but there was no guarantee it would have been any better for me. Opinions are greatly appreciated?

O there are plenty of donks since it's a rebuy. There are also some very good players too once the bingo hour is over. I am just kinda pissed that I ended up going card dead with a decent stack as soon as the blinds got high.

Posted by shokaku: You could have played your 9s for setvalue. With so many callers someone else would have hit something and most likely pay you off.
With 3 opponents and two overcards this hand would have been over for me. I would not have put in a single chip unless I hit my set on later streets.
Gotta take a shot though It's checked all the way to me. I can rightfully consider my 9s may be the best hand at that point or that the K or Q are as bad for others as they are for me. Figured I would at most get called and if I hit the 9 I had a nice bet left to put in to scare out a flush draw at least or continue playing if I didn't.
where in canada are you Paul? I've been trying to find some live action around me (South eastern Ontario) and haven't had much luck. I'd love to get into a regular live game like this. Thanks, and good luck on the felts. FullRudy
