I've been trying as many different 'styles' of Hold'em as I can recently, looking for the most grindable game to attempt SuperNova next year... Think I've found my fave
Other than just generally being full of fish at this level (and almost certainly at $3.50 and maybe $7) they are definitely the easiest to grind... The games finish when 5 players remain, so there is never short handed play... they fill up in seconds, so volume really isn't a problem, and as soon as you reach level 3, it's pretty much push or fold, meaning post flop play is all but non-existent.
I'm playing them in sets of 8 at the moment (other than the first set where I accidentally reg'd in 9), but feel I could easily double that without my ROI suffering too much...

Those games are sure easy to grind. what you need to keep in mind is that the rake will eventually eat your bankroll unless you have at least 55% ITM and then you will probably be only break even. So their great for quickly getting points to reach a certain level or to release a bonus. But profit wise, I have a hard time seeing them as a good option unless you're crushing that level!
Anyway, I did build a decent bankroll on those DoN games last year but that was on nanro stakes so those games were really soft!
But hey, not saying you can't do it, I'm sure you can! Keep us updated to let us know your progress!

Sme thing as I said sometime before - if supernova is your main goal then this is surely the number one game of choice (except for hypers maybe), however 5% ROI would already be an ENORMOUS ROI at $3.50s and up, most likely it's gonna be smaller. To combine both profit and good VPP rate there are surely better choices of games. But if you feel comfortable with them why not, probably good to try various formats before the year starts

That's true for the DoNs erru... but the important difference with the fifty50s is that the pay out is dependent on how many chips you have at the end... So there's massive value to be gained with aggressive bubble play.

Very early days, but I like what I see... [/QUOTE
Yeah that might be true. To be honest, I haven't played the fifty50s, I've only read a little bit about them and I have to say that I think they are a little bit risky since it might as well backfire on you. Too aggressive on the bubble might actually put you out of the money more times then the profit you get when you stay in can cover. That's at least the biggest concern I would have!

I've been on the lookout for a game that's easy to beat while playing 15+ tournies at a time, that isn't too swingy and don't take much time.
These seem to cover all bases.
As I have mentioned before, the long term plan is to set myself up for 2016, so the actual dollar amount won next year isn't vitally important... I'm just looking for steady increases, and fast VPP. If I end up getting SN next year. and "only" be 1 or 2 thousand in profit pre-rake back, I'll be happy... If I break even and get SN I'll be satisfied.
But obviously I'd rather make SN and get $20k+ profit

Ive been playing 1.50 HU hyper turbo. Played around 40 and cashed in around 28 i believe. I imagine the swings will be hudge but managed a 9$ profit for the last hour. Points add up quick too. Games might habe been a little less. Profit coulda been higher but played a couple 3.50$ without any luck.

Don't underestimate the swings fifty-fifties have. Not to compare with DoNs. Phase89 (probably most successful 50/50 player) once did a propbet. At one point he was down almost $14K, at a $70 ABI. That's probably the main reason why I don't like them at all, they're swingy as hell, can be almost as swingy as hypers, while in hypers even higher winrates are substainable, plus lower duration
