I don't usually play at Pokerstars so do not know how many tournaments they have every day at the site but to get to one billion tournaments is a massive accomplishment. The main event will be a $2 million guaranteed tournament with the winner getting a nice $200,000.I know a lot of mobsters will be playing at the site and it would be great to see a few of you doing well in the competition.
If we're really lucky one day perhaps they could make a 'Black Friday Memorial' tournament too. The ones who reach ITM and the final table would get seized with all of their poker assets ( , FPPs, nicknames and statistics) by the FBI and the Federal Gambling Commission and the lucky winners house and office even get crushed by SWAT teams and the Po-Po.

Hey Klash,...they usually have a ton of good promos related to those types of 'Billion' thingys...and usually some sort of related big money freerolls that you can get into by making a small deposit...!
We'll just have to sit back and watch out for what goodies they have up their sleeves...

I'll be playing in the cash games as its a good way to earn some additional cash from the prizing structure they use leading up to the relevant event hand, which on this occasion is a whopping one billionth hand. It would be nice to qualify for the big tourney at the end too! Good luck to everyone who plays.

This really is some achievement when you think about it, one billionth tournament. This is just on one site so i wonder how many tournaments have been played online over all the sites!

Posted by IceQueenAce: looks like I wont play, I got a reply about my deposit bonus, they have changed it and want to give me the bonus with (quite high) clearance points.
feel a bit ripped off
'come play with us for free, actually no you cant but deposit anyway'
had I not had the offer I would have deposited anyway probably but now it just feels like a con
What are these clearance requirements? 100VPPs/$5 is normal for non-regulated countries

125 points per £5. Which in itself isn't so high, but in comparison, it has to be cleared in 21 days. This year I have made only 146 points. In addition I am already clearing on other sites.
All these combined it means it is way too high for me, a freeroll/microstakes player

125VPP/5GBP is a very great rate. Should translate to 35%+ rakeback from the bonus alone. If you play good volume you'll be able to clear a good chunk playing solely $1.50s or NL2/5

I'm with you Ice Queen, whenever I get an email like this and then they change the terms it does feel like it is just a scam,it could be a genuine mistake but it just looks like a good old fashioned "bait and switch". My belief for any company is if you offer something you have to honour the promotion even if it does cost a couple of quid.Pokerstars is not my favourite site but considering it is supposed to be the number one poker platform there does not appear to be great customer support there at the moment.

I'm off now to stars to play a few hands and take part in this promotion, for better or worse, dos regardless of what we all think, the opportunity to make something of value for reduced value contribution is always a good deal....... Keep the faith and good luck.

Currently playing a 1 Billionth game PSO freeroll, with a ticket, to win aticket to a freebuy to win a big ticket to the main event on 30 November. It cost me nothing and who knows. There were 1700 in this tourney, 200 winners, and 483 left at the moment. Might be able to blind my way to a ticket!...or lose when i shove with AA and get called by 27o!
