Hey mate,
I have also won about 50 cents at the scratch and match freeroll yesterday. So we might have met, but unfortunately I have only read your thread today. If I had done so yesterday I might have given you a chace.

A couple of times on BRM I also bailed out others but I just stopped when I realized I cannot put a fire out with gasoline. Poker 101 is always begins with learning how to play within your means, how to remain cool after bad beats and how to acknowledge your limitations in these two things so you won't go bust on every month, which is really a necessary skill if you are a hobby player with limited budget. You play for fun, but you don't want your FUN to develope an expensive and time consuming manner
Honestly I would've replied in a different way if you asked for money to feed your family or pay your bills. But we get a couple different thread on every week here when somebody stating that he/she went flat broke and just asks for "emotional support" and "kind words" and advices, knowhow etc. This is no different then the previous times, it's just a backdoor way to begging instead of a straight up effort. Some mobbits always give out helping hands and with their selfless attitude they kinda creating the blueprint for beggars. To my knowledge it's still against forum rules but seems to me that everybody keep doing it so I guess I am in a wrong here somehow.
It's one thing going bust and an another when you think 5 or 10 bucks going to help you - or in this case - participating in the home game going to change the outcome of how do you feel yourself during x-mas or when you are active on this forum.
BTW being active on this forum has it's rewards, basicly with a minimum effort everybody could cash out at least once if not twice a year simply by writing posts and keeping threads alive - and also opening doors in the calendar. If thats not helping you to build your bankroll on it I don' know what will.
For all I care everybody should call me Scrooge McDuck or the Grinch who stole the X-Mas spirit on this forum and you all should keep poking those negatives upon my posts, but if you sending money here everytime somebody asks for it - for no real reason other than feeling good about yourself - you are just bankrolling those mobbits into going bust again. They will never learn. They will never care about learning. We can say it's a form of charity, but people on poker forums asking for money do not really need handouts, they rather need a couple of lessons.

I testified.
Disagree.
This is a community. Meaning we help each other out when it's needed, regardless of the reason why help is needed.
You make a valid point that sometimes just $s isn't the right kind of help... but aside from that I think you are a little off.

I got busted 1 time since I was member here, and I didnt ask for money, or anything, just keep playing freerols till I got some money to make mine bankroll again, so I did... It is impresive that I menage without deposit or any deposit bonus to get bankroll from freerols, and got to 100$ and to go bust, and as I said again to build my account starting from freerolls to amount that is very good for now ( I will not say how much ). I would never take any charaty or something... I dont agree that you dont help those kind of players that went busted, but sure you cant help anyone who asks... It depends of player how seriosly is taking poker... if he is serious player, than he does deserve halping hand, and if he is joker player that need money to play and go bust in couple of days, than he doesnt deserve halping hand... thats mine opinion...

there is no need to make this thread more complicated than it is av1966 is long time member here and always contribute with his ideas and such about poker he got 1$ , so he can enjoy playing with other mobsters , i see no problem
but also i can see bowie1984 point here i have 0.02$ in pokerstars and i am hoping to get to 1.1$ before the game i won't ask for money , it is either make it or not .. i find it more rewarding that way i lost alot of money gambling .. i need to put a limit to my way of doing things i just can't take the easy road again .. i can simply ask money from friends and deposit but i won't do it .. it is either i deserve to be there or not ..
