I didn't go crazy just a cheap (around £300) Toshiba job. But having come from a 10 year old Dell it seems pretty amazing. It left me with a little set aside for a few games and a control pad.

First of all congratulations to your successful cashout. I think its a very good idea to buy just a cheaper laptop (and 300 isnt too cheap), because the advantages of high end products are not worth the higher price.

that is a little more than 400 euro. So it will be a very decent one comparing to the one you had for all these years. Probably the one thing you will notice for sure at first, will be the difference in the noise. Back then they were very noisy ones. Talking from experience with my 2004 acer Good luck with your new bankroll.

My Dell lasted 10 years, the build quality is amazing. It still runs fine it's just obsolete.
I'd go with the graphics card but it all depends on your circumstances and what you use them for I suppose.

I l think in buying a computer is to go with something that is fullfilling your needs so if the one you bought is doig that then its a very good buy.
You will start with a new BR and i dont know which site you will choose to start with but i wish you very good luck with your new machine and on the tables.

Yes, the lack of noise was the first thing I noticed. That and how quick the boot up was.

Oh yea the boot also. I have stopped turning it off, since it takes ages again, to turn it back on, now that it runs windows 7. I use the sleep function all the time. If for some reason it needs restart, i just hit the button and leave, can do all shorts of chores while rebooting

I used to play Morrowind on my old Xbox. Got a good three or four years play out of that so I'm expecting that much at the very least from Skyrim.
Im right there with your brother lol, my pc is very outdated if it comes to games. Playing most games on my 360 for now (which i already played and bored of). Saving up for a new rig atm but havent had the best run for a while
Good luck on your quest for a new pc/laptop and i hope you have more luck then me

Do you have goals or any specific target that you would shoot for, or just playing to fatten your roll again? Or any time limit, something like this? Of course best of luck and I hope you will like your new laptop as you did with the previous one. Ten years is not a joke, I like Dell too. I'm still using sometimes my Latitude D620.
