I dont know were im gong wrong, had a bad run on pokerstars with sng, so stuck to ring games.
Now on everest, doing well in the ring games, but SnGs aint working for me, played 5 now (I know its only a few) took 1st and 3rd then, 4th 4th 4th, hate it rather go out first, any tips on how to survive the last bit, 150/300 is were i normally fall.
But i go out with hands like kjo with around a 1200-2200 stack, so i gotta push i think.
last 1 lost with A6s (1300 lef) pushed all in on bb lost to q8o (str8)

This used to be my game, i would lose a bit on ring then make it up on sng, but now i make on ring and break even or lose on sng.

What? Going wrong????

You are up, so there is nothing wrong. Being aggressiv at the bubble is the key. Naturely you are often the bubbleboy, but if you score enough first prices you are fine.

What limits on Everest are you talking about. I don`t play them much on Everest, actually stopped playing completely because of their verification procedure, because SnG`s there lasts for hours. They are just too slow for my taste. If table is soft raise only when you have the monster hand, if others are letting you see the flop cheap, look at it first.

You push with 1200/1300 left? Why? You have much time to do later. With 1000+ i try to steal but never push. When 600/700 left i'm thinking about push but not at 1200 but thats my opinion Smile

i play it just like him when i only have 10BB left i push with a wide range of hands, you have to play for the win because the difference in payout from the 1st to the 2nd an 3rd place is so big.
when you have 600 left u have only 2 BB, you can't play efficently with 2 BB ...

@ OP: you can't play 5 SnGs and believe to win them all. it's pure variance, when you have a samplesize of 1000 or 2000 SnGs then you can speak of a bad run, but 5 Sngs come on, just keep on trying the variance in SnGs is much higher than in cashgame.

I also have problems in the last part, I don't even count anymore how often I left in place before the prices. I think it's because lot's of people sitting out just before the 'payed places'. And I just can't do that, need to keep playing Blink

Yer I know its only 5 but went through a long period of the same sort of thing on PS.
Im not saying its a bad run but this is the stage when its make or break for me.
Also i didnt say that i play turbo.low limits.
Doomdy I only have 4xbb left, with 4 ppl left in in a very short time(next round) i have 900 ish left, thats a easy call for the outhers. if blind goes up (200-400+anti) i dont get to choose a hand to push with.
for a steal i gotta put in atleast 2xbb = 600, half my stack, what do i do if i get raised, and normally they can cover this raise.
But I will give your way a go, dont push untill <1k
shokaku sometimes i feel as if thats all i am, bubbleboy

That's normal...
Sometimes you became 1 million times in a row bubbleboy.

I think if you have a small stack and the blinds are high you must move in with every good hand. Of course there are much coinflipsituation... the rest is just luck...
There is nothing wrong to move allin with A6...
B1gfoot is totally right.

You are on right track B1gfoot, it is better to push with more chips than less. Try to pick player at whom you`re gonna push. Watch for players that call with everything when they are bigstacks. If you have the monsters push against them if not it is better to fold and wait. Sometimes positioning when there are only 4 players left is big deal. If you are unlucky to have big stack on your right when you are shortstacked and he likes to steal there is not much you can do but hope that someone will take him out for some of his chips so he cools down or you get cards to play with. Those players usually starts to call with A-rag so if you don`t have suited connectors try to have at least A-rag suited.

Yeah that's what I try to do lately, when I'm on the small stack. I go all in when I have an aggresive big stack player. I once was down to 135 chips because of a bad beat and a few rounds later I was one of the big stacks lot's of people called me because they want to work me out of the tourney, still was a bit lucky that I won with a medium hand but I reached the final table Blink

Hey b1gfoot, i really can't see why you are complaining, man.. Really. 5 sit and gos and 2 placements in the money! le'ts talk about it again when u have played 800 games and placed ITM 80 times (I'm pretty sre it won't happen) Smile

like i say its 5 on everest but a long run of this on PS around 100+ hitting 4th all the time(hit super tilt), just was woundering if i was being to hasty with the push, doomdys right for normal sngs but i play speed, and have took on board to attack the aggresive player, or to at least choose my victom rather than cards, I think its to do with the fact iv got used to ring games and am not addapting enough for SnG, the small tips in here have helped, thanks all.
