In the Provincial budget of this week it seems that our governement would like to have a share of the online poker. Since their loto company revenu are deacreasing and their poker site not working then they are looking to other online sites. From what i understand they would make a change to the law that woud have the net provider obligation to block any gambling site unless they have a licence to operate here.

It seems that lots of countries are looking at the money going into online poker and wanting a share. The UK recently changed the law and I am pretty sure that France,Spain and Italy restrict their citizens. All that seemed to happen was the better players took their money and moved to other less regulated countries.

yeah lots of countries doing it to get money but you have to look at the big picture if you block all poker sites there will get illegal gambling which will start to rise up and more people will not use the legal system and money will be lost if they just tax it normally on the poker sites or on players winnings and all, anyway good luck at the tables and hope you guys do well and sad that Canadian cant player poker properly due to those rules

Like xxxpokerxxx said. A matter of time. I wonder how the system will work, and if the new system will affect the players. If it does then i see a lot of professional players moving somewhere else. The downhill of online poker continues...
