Does Poker Stars have a higher bad beat frequency?  0
I heard it not once, but i few times from many different people. I've seen a few numbers too and I don't like to believe in things, I prefer know. So, does anyone have something to share?

It seems so only because it deals millions hands more than other rooms everyday, but it actually hasn't nothing strange. It's really hard for me to say this after i lost 200$ against bad players...

GamblingDemon, I don`t mean to flame anything here, but what difference does it make how many hands are dealt there?

I think what he is saying is, if 1 site has 10 tables running, and anouther has 100, you are 10X more likley to see a BB due to the amount of play.
But I dont think its just the amount of hands played, more about the amount of bad players, it still boggles me how PS has so many PPL, never on any site have I seen ppl so willing to chase to the river reguardless of cost or odds.

Naturely pokerstars has more bad beats. More players, more tables, more hands per hour => more chances for a bad beat. If you wanna see really strange things happen, move to ongame.

I wanted to mean that poker stars has more bad beats proportionally than other poker rooms.

That`s why I asked what does number of hands has to do with it. If it is proportional then number of hands is irrelevant.
True about bad players B1gfoot, that may be one reason, but I still think that boards are weird there.

Predobar, do you not play at other sites? The boards at Everst, Full Tilt, Ongame and Party are as strange or stranger than those at Stars. Bad beats happen when your opponents are not good enough to realize that their chances are poor, and continue with a hand when they should fold.

Ongame and Everest are worse, I admit that. But Everest and Ongame are not the biggest site on market. I hate seeing big sites doing that. Both PS and FTP have their own player base, which Ongame does not have, and while these bad beats happen at FTP too it is happening more often at PS, IMO. Everest not only have bad beats but it has worst player base, at least on low limits could not stand the site that long to take it to bigger limits, withdraw and uninstall. PP i decided to uninstall when i saw, I am not sure because it was long time ago some 90% sure, three times in half an hour or so, on one table AA vs. AA. Luckily it was free money, not from BRM those free $10 they were giving, i was using so it did not bother me to lose it all. Same story, exit-uninstall. It will be installed again when I receive another free offer, which is against the rules so no more PP. I thought UB was good at the beginning but it turned out that they are not after all. They usually start throwing action hands when table is too tight and not producing any or small amount of rake. Suddenly people get pocket AA, KK, AKs and QQ in single hand. Who wins the hand does not matter, rake is big in that hand because flop comes something like K-Q-10, K-J-10 or something like that so that someone will raise at the flop and that others will call because pot is already big enough to justify the odds, it may even get split among 2 or 3 players or more. I tried all but one poker network shokaku, at least I think that I did not play at Boss media network, will have to check.

That's what exactly what i meant to say! Pokerstars, as all the most famous sites, follows the rules, so there's no difference about bad beats in the long long term respect to other rooms

That is the way to see it. Smile

If you never got a bad beat, you never put your money in while ahead. Bad beats are a part of the game, and a price to be paid that the bad players continue to play.

I was searching for something else when I found one other forum with 17 pages of poker stars testimonials. I can`t put link here because it is BRM competitor but google for pokerstars rigged it should be the first find.

The fact is it's just crap threw out from bad players who know anything about poker and it's long term patience-based mentality. Pokerstars it's not rigged and you can bet anything you want on it
