...So PokerStars had a 2nd Chance tournament for the folks who entered in the NHL Playoffs promo they had...!
I picked Montreal to win the Stanley cup, but obviously.....
BUT,....then I got an email saying,...Too Bad you lost,... Here is a 2nd Chance... Deposit using code: 'myteamlost' and get a free entry to a $2,000 tourney...!
...of the 196 that entered,...over 100 sat out the WHOLE game,...so about 45 minutes or so in,...they just started getting bounced out... Just a matter of attrition...
I only had to double up once and win a few wee hands and CHING...!!!

These are tournaments that you have to play no matter what. If they are scheduled long time ago, then many of the players are gonna be sitting out. In this case it was also a special promotion, which probably has limited the amount of entrants. Anyway, congratulations . Nice score

If it is a one time only tournament, then it is normal. You get your token or ticket, entering the tournament, hoping that you will be able to play when the time comes. Some are even free at the time of the tournament, but if some time has passed. they have completely forgot about it. I am talking from experience
