some people play with the play money very serious and probably sell it to others cheaper than what pokerstars offers. Just a thought, if there is a way of making money from play money someone will exploit it and take advantage of the donks thinking its just play money and playing like idiots.

so it's still possible to sell play money chips you say... whenever stars started to offer play money chips in packs for green toilet paper i though it's the end of shady play money chip brokers out there, but you say that one still can make a fortune by grinding those play money dollaros?

You cant make money in selling play money cause the maximum transfer between players is 1,000 a day and PokerStars do not permit selling since they are selling them so they surely wont let peoples to be their competitor.

Well, i guess since you can still trade the play money chips for real money, then this tournaments are gonna be a blast. So anyone that has a good stack of them should not miss this series? Good luck to all the ones participating. Dont waste too much time there though

The idea of using play money for fun or to improve your play is good in principle but whenever I have looked at the play games you just see donks going all in every hand so what is the point? Though I seem to remember that Barry Greenstein was promoting these games a while ago.

pinotte the "trade" term was for the player to player transfers. Cause i have read that some buy play money chips. I know that you can make that trade with Poker Stars
I will disagree with you here klash. No matter what, even if some players are trying to build a big roll in play money chips, it is still no real. When you lose i guess you can easily rebuy for free like i any platform. So the game is different than a real one. If it was similar to something it would have been the freeroll donkfests

Enclose is a copy of play money rules within players.
Are there Play Money transfer limits between players? Yes. Play Money transfers between players are limited to 1,000 chips. You may send one transfer every 24 hours, and receive ten transfers every 24 hours. In addition to this, if you receive a Play Money chip transfer from another player, you will only be able to send a transfer out again after 12 hours have passed. Why do you have limits on Play Money transfers? We are legally required to keep a strict control of the Play Money economy. Restricting transfers is necessary to ensure chips cannot be exchanged for real money.
So i dont think that PokerStars would accept.
And if you can prove me wrong and you know one that would buy play money i could sell some for very cheap.

Yes pokerstars is selling pllay money chips. I do not remember exactly when they started selling but before that there were no maximum transfer between players so it could happend that players would sell them then. At the time the maximum play money you could had in your BRwas 20millions now there is no more max. So if your talking few years back you are right.

There will be up to three events played each day of the series, each designed to last up to 4-5 hours. You can find the tournaments in the PokerStars client by searching for ‘Masters’ in the ‘Find a tournament’ filter. This year you’ll also be able to qualify for the Main Event in 1M satellites, running at 14:00 on July 9, 10 and 11. Don’t have enough Play Money chips to take part? If Play Money purchases are available in your region you can buy chips directly within the client by opening the Cashier and clicking ‘Buy Play Money Chips’. Prices start from just $1.99, while a bundle of 7.5M chips for $24.99 will be enough to buy in to most events.
