No clue here whatsoever with this site, but when it comes to changes in points and stuff,
it is always a change to the better for the site. Am i wrong on this one? Smile

But frequent players will know if this is happening in current situation or not.

I got the email from stars today and haven't read it in detail enough to fully appreciate the implications, but it seems like if you are a low point scorer, you are better off converting your points to FPP buy ins before 1 January cos it will be more valuable than allowing your points to be donated to coins.

Yeah, the conversion rate is tricky, since it implies that after january the things in the vip store going to be more expensive in starscoin than they were on FPP before the exchange.

So that means they think they're giving away too much via FPPs? Pretty sad considering the huge profits they make everyday. I thought they would be giving away more actually since their year has been phenomenal. There's constantly 150k players on stars, Imagine how much that rakes per second or per minute. Shock

I just hope one day a room comes with lower rakes and manages to steal a good chunk of players from stars Blink

I really dont know why partypoker hasn't been taking some of that chunk. They have great promos plenty of bonuses. Think the look of the site could use some changing but other then that i like it. I simply dont play there because of the lack of sngs n tournys selection. But if more people moved over there sngs would fill alot faster obviously

What, now you got that no matter how much they earn, they will want even more.
These changes and more in the future are predetermined quite some time now.
Probably from the moment they acquired FT and their slice became bigger.

I get your point arsenej, but for them to have more variety in SNG games they need more servers, to handle the traffic, and they cost a lot of money if u rent servers, other option is like PS they own them, and keep adding more and more, to have even bigger traffic, more players more rake more money, and at the moment they are ruling the poker world, just with hardware alone, their software is not to shaggy also.
But 888 could be the next big thing in poker world, not great software, not so many servers, but great promotions, which add more and more players to their roster, soon they have to make a decision, go the way of PS, or sell while we are hot, and buy a small island and sun bade for the rest of your life Big Smile

well it seems that conversion rate suck big time... if my weedy memory serves me right, previously 1 fpp was worth something like 1.6 cent and now they are offering an exchange rate at evens... not good business from players point of view. thinking about buying a few rolls of pokerstars branded toilet paper with my points from the shop...

It seems PokerStars will revamp the loyalty program to effectively incentivize and reward more players and to encourage competitive play over high volume play.
