well yesterday i finished a big ass tornament on pokerstars in 7th and never have i been more disapointed with the result.

not to brag but ive become a really good tornament player excluding freerolls well i do do well in freerolls aswell but there alot luk based to play due to the push festing anyways back to my point.

i played a $2.20 buy in tornament yesterday $5000 gtd and throught out the tornament i was playing really well and getting the cards when i need em and the aggression were its needed i won most of my major coinflips even tho i didnt have many. I was the biggest stack through out the torny until the final table about 3-4hrs-ish of play around 2.5k entrants.

then on the final table i encounter this dude and my god he hits cards like god he was outdrawing everyone he was on fire and he took the chip lead i was in 2nd.

Then a small stack goes all in and im holding queens so i call and the guy running hot calls aswell. At this point im saying to my friend im gonna get outdrawn here by this guy and the flop comes down 10 5 2 rainbow i push all in for the rest of my stack and the luck box insta kalls and shows K 7 off suit and the small stack shows K K at this point im like yess he carnt possible get that lucky and then it comes turn card King.

7th place because somone who can push with anythin and win does exactly that.

im just to annoyed to be honest i dont play anythin but tornaments online due to the bad amount players in cash games etc that suck out and i have had some impressive tornament results and Dollar scores but still this tornament has made me lose faith in online poker all together

Next time you beat him and your be chipleader and win the tourney Smile

well it sucks for sure. he was probably drunk and didn't care anymore what would happen to his stack. just now that the next time you play against him, you'll be the one taking the pot. so good luck next time Thumbs Up

you can at least say that you made no mistake and 7th is a good place. Losing against a tilting bigstack is no shame Smile

Remember that the most important thing is to play correct and the best you can. One can not avoid the tilting donks. There will always be someone very lucky but in the long run you will be "the winner". Even pro's makes mistakes or run into donks, bad beats etc. from time to time.

If you knew that he was a child of the sun, why didn't you avoid this player? Being good helps to win tourneys, but being lucky is essential in doing so. Let him bust out the other players.

In tourneys you sometimes have to look past the actual hands. And not batteling it out with the chipleader is one of those things. But keep just playing your hands no matter what. Here is a forum you can whine about the results of that play.
