Been like that for a long time I think. Maybe you should make such a thread.
I often read the forum but I don't post unless I see an interesting topic, which I'm afraid is quite rare and when I do see a good poker thread it doesn't stay in the top for long and generally doesn't get much response, which is a shame for what is supposedly a poker forum

All joke aside, teddy has a good point, ever since the cancellation of the freerolls, this site has become somewhat ghost house, except for some regs that are keepin it alive, but beside them, not much going on, apart from some1 hitting the vault or scoring 1000 mob points of the calendar, donno what happened, but even the admins dont seem to care any more, hope things change for good, but i doubt it.

I don't know if you come here very often to come and tell that the forum as changed.
With your number of post you were active to post and i suppose that it was talking about poker. Now can i ask you why you stop being active here like others that said the same think as you.
If the good poker players who are able to make interesting post are all leaving then it left what you see know.
Just come back talking about poker and maybe others will do the same.

Maybe we don't see that many new threads on poker because we've had all the threads over the years and everything has already been said. It seems to me that after years of online poker booming, it's starting to decline, some people got bored and maybe some lost too much money, and those who still make a profit after a decade know everything about the game, at least online if not live poker. There aren't as many young players coming through and those who are think they already know everything or just like to gamble. So there's not much to debate anymore?
Meanwhile, there's always new advancements in the world of sport. Betting seems to be increasing in popularity. Everyone loves to brag about winning or winge about losing. People come here for free money so obviously that takes up a lot of the forum. And many here seem to have a fascination with boobs, which I totally get, but I generally don't conflate porn with all areas of my life.
So in conclusion it would be nice if we could have more interesting threads on poker but I'm lost for original ideas. And as I said above, when these threads are posted they don't get enough interest to really get going. It seems the majority of the forum don't miss these threads so you're never going to have many knocking about at any one time.

Echoes the developement in the industry as a whole. Away from serious grinding, on to more relaxed gambling. But actually. there is not that much new to be discussed. New rooms do not open, and the variants and hands have all been talked about.

It's the way of life. Life changes, market changes, etc. We had "why are there not so many poker threads" before, they seem to pop up a few times every year. Some active forum posters happen to make babies, so they no longer spend so much time in here. Then other people arrive and become active instead, so it's always going up and down.

Not only in this forum, all was mixed too the issue of sports betting and that is not only destroying the poker but the true poker player is a subject that is not interested. Unfortunately the few poker rooms that were dedicated exclusively to poker, sports betting now included, the best example of this s**t is PokerStars

why you think sportsbetting is destroying poker? cant share your opinion. i do sometimes bet on footballgames, particularly on euro/worldcup, but that never hold me up from playin poker.

It seems that the forum has too many players of all kinds and we thought were the most poker players are wrong Too many sports betting and casino games The true poker player that bothers you, we prefer a quiet place where poker is played alone and not mixed with other types of gambling, something many think that poker is a sport and not a game of chance

Hey! Get this. The world changes and people notice...... And sometimes they don't like what they see. This kind of happened in Planet of the Apes....... People didn't seem to notice that either till it was too late.
The only way to change what you don't like is to do something about it.
On the contrary, there are various poker posts in the forum. Generally they are quite lively and promote lots of discussion and opinion...... Pinottes thread about IQA springs to mind as a recent good thread about poker.
