Hi all
My 1st forum post so expecting a lotta of comments guys I've been a playing online poker for the past year now and i must say i haven't done badly i have almost 5 times bankroll in 9 months which is not bad seeing i'm still 18 n got school etc. But lately i've been heading down to my local casino and when i go there i get absolutely killed i've been there like 7 times as of now and i get totally destroyed everytime in cash games even in the lowest limits like 1/2 i go broke
I don't understand y though... i'm just not able to play my game when i sit down at the table

When you play live its totally different. Especially in cash games. 1. Make sure you have a decent bankroll. I take $100 dollars to the 1/2 tables. 2. You do not need the amazing hands you do in tournaments, as alot of people will play marginal hands. 3.Study your players. No doubt you will see the same people everytime and it helps to know there play.
I also struggled at first live. Why dont you play a few tournaments and get used to live play, coz without knowing it your giving off tells aswell. Practice makes perfect

Some ppl are just meant to play live and some arent Take some time and think how does my body react when i get AA playing online? DO i start moving around in my chair? If you get the worlds most happy feeling when you do. The chances are you will get that same feeling when you play offline/live. And looking like you just had sex is a pretty good tell you got something good on your hand.
I try to practice playing live when i play online. I try always to stay calm. This has helped me lot. I have also watched hours of poker on tv and youtube. Must add i never use a hat or sun glasses. i try to be as relaxed as i can. T J Coultier is one of my role models. He has a very relaxed attitude and plays really well.

in helsinkis casino its been a killer because ive been there 4 times and go broke 3 times with so stupid plays
like one time one buy raised to 12euros and he got 4 callers i was on bb and saw 72 and i showed my 120e stack in and got 2 callers.(AT and 33)

Hi all,
on my local casino everyone is playing like maniacs. If I raise 6x bb with aq i will get at least 2 callers. People in casino's are not afraid to loose, they want to gamble. Try to pick out your spots wel and play tight!

im the other way around,kick as live,but online struggle to win big.live is all about reading, image and lying.start by having mates over every week for a game of poker.problem is if you go to your local casino all the sharks know each other so wont go against each other as hard as they will you,the rookie.its all about practise,you young and have time,just play alot.tip.always dress as nice as you can,suit prefered,no tie,look like you have more money than you do ,earn you respect at table,and respect is fear.goodluck.

scl do u live in melbourne by any chance?? if u r maybe i could c u play at crown get some pointers sometime... i seriously wana work on my live games i try to appear as calm as possible when i get dealt pocket aces obviously its not working the big boiis completely destroy me they never call wen i raise with the goods n they always call when i do the bluffing absolutely hate itt...
