Working with BAD BEATS  0
With the time I began to repair that the poker players' great part comments on bad beats. In reality the same bad beats that you/they happen with me and with all the other players. The onlooker is to repair as the people they react in way different to the bad beats.

Some reactions helped me becoming a better and controlled player.

To see that the bad beat is part of the game is fundamental part to begin to ACCEPT.

That when what really happened it was a bad beat. In those hands below, try to say that is the favorite to win both they root all-in pre-flop:

9T of swords against Q8

AK of swords against 33

AQ against TT

78 against K2

AK against KJ against AJ against 56.

seems easy, but nor all get to see that any equal one is favorite pre-flop against two different high letters. And that suited connectors play better than a high letter and other drop. And in multiway pots, when you vary people they hold high letters, the chances of somebody with low letters increase tremendously.

But the theme is the bad beats, and they really exist and they happen, but the good news is exactly that, they happen.

In first, place, by definition a bad beat is a play in that you played correctly, it was mathematically the favorite, and it lost the hand for somebody that played badly, he/she called or it bet with worse letters than yours, and it got to win of you. Then, we reached the conclusion that to take a bad beat you have to be playing correctly, which by itself is already a tremendous fact.

The bad beat was made for the good players. The others always added the victories and you defeat the game circumstances, or simply the luck.

The trainer of the masculine Brazilian selection of volleyball, Bernardinho, when being questioned on the " luck " that Brazil came tends in the games, answered: We " studied and we a lot for the luck to play on our side ".

I have been training my luck. She sometimes appears me without being called, I sometimes need in the crucial hours, but in most of the time, it is there working to my side.

If the mathematics is on your side, remember the long run, when a book says that AA will win 90% of the times of a 95. That means that 10% of the times the 95 go yes to win of AA, for more ridiculous than that can seem.

I prefer ten thousand times to lose in a bad beat a hand for a player that I know that in the future can recover with interests the losses of what to enter in a table with you collect them and to be outplayed for their luck ".

Does he/she/you have people that still wonders, why players as, Gus Hansen, Phil Ivey and does Daniel Negreanu have so much " luck " when they play with hand as 45, 79, 36,...?

Then in the next bad beat, make the following:

- stop for breathing a little

- use two seconds for to be inside with rage and to think in bursting the monitor, to kick something, to break some thing;

- one second to decide that that is nonsense because you will continue playing, and what passed, it doesn't return more.

- one minute to take note of the player's name for who you lost, and to write down which was his mistake in the hand.

- two minutes for trying to discover which was your mistake in the hand (in 90% of the bad beats, we made some mistake, as for instance, not to bet enough on time for removing the opponent of the hand).

- it is certified that calmed down to come back to the game. After a bad beat, the chances of entering in very larger healthy tilt.

In the hour of a bad beat, remember, to accept the defeat and to learn with her, it is part of a winner's road. And if he/she doesn't forget that if you are taking bad beats, it is because it is in the right road.

See you.....imrafa20

One benefit I have had of getting used to dealing with bad beats is that I play deeper into tournies, because instead of blowing all my chips after a suckout, I just sit back and build them back up. The joy and motivation in this case is lasting longer than the person who gave me the bad beat - AND the other benefit is that once people know the type of player that this person is, it is easier to play against them.

Good Luck

It was a flip preflop. You were behind at the flop, sucked out on the turn and got one outered on the river. Locks a lot like ongame. Blink
