Amazing error by site software  0
3 clubs came out on the flop K high, I had A clubs and an unsuited Q. The other player bet heavy so I had him on a flush. I called hoping to get the flush with A high,
the turn was a small usuited card, he went 'all in' I took a chance and called again, the river was another club. My oponent had two clubs J high, so he had flush K high, but I had flush A high. The site gave my opponent the win saying "Flush K high with J kicker", they put me on flush K high!! As I only had one club (the A) the only flush I could have was A high!! Is there a rule that says you win if you make your flush befor your opponent?
Has anyone ever had enything like this happen to them?
I emailed the site but only got the automated response. Lucky it was a freeroll and I did'nt lose any money!

Were you using a four colour deck - where the diamonds are blue and the clubs are green.

When I started playing online I just had the normal two colour deck and I ended up losing a buyin cause i mistook a club for a spade. It's easily done when multi tabling.

I have since changed to the 4 colour deck and had no such problems.

Did you check the hand in the hand history to make sure you did have the 5 clubs needed?

No doubt about it, I use the four color deck and anyway they put me down for a flush, there were only four clubs on the table the other card was a heart, so if I had made a mistake I would have had nothing! Confused Confused

he obviously had a higher "kicker" in the flush ! sorry, i hope im allowed to laugh since it was only a freeroll Smile
happened often enough to me, but by checking "last hand" it was always correct. just my own mistakes.

Maybe he had straight flush?

If it was a SF they would not have said K high as there was no Q clubs in play. The only poss straight flush would have been lower.
Can't figure out how to get the hand history, think I will go back to live games!

if there is no "show last hand" right in game, then most Pokerclients offer you to save your handhistory. its somewhere under options. you can also check this by your self in the pokerfolder ( C:.....) or wherever you installed it. if theres is nothing then i suggest to ask their support by mail to send you your handhistory...they have to !

Yep. Look at the hand history. And if you had the higher flush complain at CS with the hand number. They can check it out then. Maybe you get a free entry to the next freeroll Blink

I don't think the Pokerroom had a bug Tongue If so, it would be found already. You prolly overlooked something! Can happen.

neither do i. this would be a huge failure in the software. flushes happen so often, that would have been noticed long ago.
but keep us up to date when u recieve your handhistory. exciting case Smile

This is a very common mistake to make, if your hand history shows it's the software that was faulty I'd be very surprised.

II really want to know what software you're using and for you to post the hand history.

think you made a mistake, think he had the low straight flush.if you can check your history that be great other wise you been scammed. Cool

Dude, I got my flush first Smile

But you shouldn't laugh, when I started to play I didn't even know if flush beats a straight or anything about kickers.

LoftyDave, maybe he had king high straight flush?

lol @ dude i got my flush first !! Big Smile it took me 5mins untill i was able to reply to this (tears in my eyes) and im still laughing.
reminds me on Rounders: "triplets"? i have one pair !
me and my friends have been playin poker for ages with wrong rules. i didnt know Ace counts as a 1 in a street. so first time i got online i got beat by A 2345 i was like "wtf". after the 4th or 5th time i got beat by such a street i called the support and started arguing with him Big Smile

Big Smile

What happened in Rounders? It's been so long since I watched it.

Ya, I had the same problem when I started to play about ace counting as first street. I found out on Pokerstars playing for play chips, I ticked the box "show rank ranking" and it said I had a straight Smile I ended up selling my play chips for $150, I'm supprised people buy play chips.
