That 2020 date is only for security patches. No more feature update/new drivers etc.going to come out for Win7 from now on via Microsoft this is why so many people switched over when they had a chance.
I am not saying its better its just engineered towards being more user friendly, so average users may switch over from MacOSX etc.

As of now, support for Windows 7 will end January 2020. So no need to get hectic updating the home computer. In the workplace this may be different. In the long run driver support, or better the lack of it, will force more and more people to switch.

We have to start giving up this windows 7 you know that. Everything is fugacious... it is much easier if you give up early. so you will get more time to understand this windows 10. I do not know if microsoft will spy more or not but the move for us is obligatory. We have nothing to do.

As usual, the new Windows version (10) needs more resources than the old one (7). So for a lot of older machines it would be best to stay at Windows 7 as long as it is convenient, and replace it with a new Windows 10 machine later.

You are perfectly right. These people will go with him 1-2 years and after that windows 7 is dead. Here is a strategy it's called the money chase. They always need to change anything from parts, programs, monitors to sell as much as possible. The profit is extremely important for this corporations. Thumbs Up

demodawggy, I am glad to hear that no further damage has been done and that everything is back to normal now. I think certain known and unknown factors are prone to cause compatibility issues for softwares and applications.

Even if it is security updates only i dont mind.
That is what matters after all, especially if you have a laptop.
Not many changes that can happen there, in terms of hardware.
But even the ones with pc want to change hardware they will be able to find something
compatible.
