This morning the WSOPE Main Event was over, which was held at King's Casino in Rozvadov. The winner of the tournament was Spaniard Marti Roca De Torres, who replenished his bank account by € 1,115,207.
A few years ago, Marty worked as an economics professor at the university, but the love of poker and the dream of hammering tons of money with his favorite game made him a professional player. Marty has a sponsorship contract with the G8 and, incidentally, was selected for the ME with a buy-in of € 10,350 via the satellite for € 220.
In the final of the tournament Marti met with Italian Gianluca Speranta. Their heads-up lasted as much as 4 hours, and in the end it was the Spaniard (or the Catalan?) Who became the winner. It is worth noting that the beautiful Maria Ho, who was the chip leader in the 6-max, showed the game is not fit for her appearance and finished the performance in the 6th place.
For the unofficial final table got a Russian player and chess player Stepan "xxSTEPANxx" Osinovsky. He took 9th place and got € 74,737 for it.

ok I have to admit that winning a million euros is quite an achievement for a former economics teacher, probably this is the story that many young and aspiring poker players will be reading and taking inspiration from. maybe just maybe one day famous pochui will create such a story under the poker tables too

I've seen some mathematicians who make money from poker. This is very good because they think much better than other players. If you are good at calculating and read poker strategy you can get an professional player. Congratulations for Spaniard Marti Roca De Torres has managed a beautiful victory.

Massive congratulations go out to Marti Roca De Torres on being crowned champion of the 2017 WSOP Europe main event and for scooping a seven-figure payday. What an incredible achievement! And well done to Stepan Osinovsky on his 9th place finish. I look forward to watching tournament replays when they become available online.

That was a good win for the buy in he made. I see that he got a sponsorship, so i wonder how much of the money will go to his pocket But either way winning the tournament is a success story. Now he will have money to buy in directly to higher buy ins

Gratz for the winne rof the WSOP Europe main event winner! A winning prize over one million € was great and it was interesting, that a professor has won 4 hours in HU was a long time in the final game in Rozvadov.
As far as I remember, Osinovsky flew out of this tournament with the help of the winner of this tournament Marti Roca De Torres .... the winner had two aces and the Russian player had an ace and a king .... they raised the stakes and in the end went olline ..... Russian was not lucky in the end
