I cant get people to join our forum when at the top on the search bar are we not secure????i have stopped posting because of this, dont understand why a site has near 1 mill punters but cant secure their site?/
It's a valid concern. Especially for a site with a login, it should support https. Anyone on the same network, can see your username and password, as it is not encrypted. Since lots of people use the same credentials on other sites (maybe even some poker sites, where you have money), its not far fetched that some of them lose their bankroll this way...
Either way, don't re-use passwords on other sites. That goes double for sites without an SSL certificate (https).

We are working on it, we have new server ready but the designer got delayed so everything has been pushed months
Also you need to be a bit realistic, like what bowie says, what's the worst that can happen - they can post int he forum and play the mob games with your account... if someone has $50 worth of mob points available for cashout, and a "hacker" would login and request a cashout, and it's to another e-mail address than the user has used before, we will see it and investigate.
And of course, NEVER use the same password for "important" that has access to your credit card etc., that you do on forum-based websites.

Conclusion: It's coming!
Great!
A good percentage of people do use the same credentials everywhere (sadly). As this is a poker related site someone that sniffs these credentials on a public wifi, might be tempted to try them on the various poker sites, and steal your bankroll. I doubt that has happened to anyone so far, since a few dots need to be connected to exploit this, but still... Good that this issue will be resolved soon!

... < ....I DO NOT have a webcam though,....so I know their threat is ONLY a phishing or 'Spear-Phishing' attempt...!!!

Those e-mails are just spam/phishing. As you say, you don't have a webcam, so already there is proof that it's fake. I get those e-mails too. And it has nothing to do with BRM, I get them on e-mails that I never had any association with BRM. You can enter your e-mail address on https://haveibeenpwned.com and see some of the breaches where your e-mail and password are leaked from. So it's a powerful phishing scam because they know the password that the victim has used somewhere, sometime. We can't see your password though, it's stored one-way encrypted.

Tony would make the intruder 'sleep with the fishes' like Luca Brasi did. No doubt, no doubt.
