Phil Hellmuth Loses $95K in NLHE Aria Cash Game, but Happy for his NBA Friend Winning

For those who have known and heard of Phil Hellmuth, people will mostly remember him via his nickname Poker Brat because of his temperamental personality, usually melting down at times when he loses huge amounts in high-stakes poker games. A week ago, he posted in his Instagram account what he considered as his worst loss ever since the past three years. He wrote, "Lost $95,000 in a $100-$200 N[...]   Read more » Phil Hellmuth Loses $95K in NLHE Aria Cash Game, but Happy for his NBA Friend Winning

I never thought i would see the day that Phil Hellmuth would be smiling after taking such a loss. I love to watch Hellmuth play and i hope he wins this amount back very quickly and a lot more on top

dont know how much he is happy that somebody else win money and that he lose such a big amount!its not in his nature Big Smile !I think that even on some freeroll he would be mad to lose and not in this kind of situation to lose almost 100 K!but ok,its up to him!

Well, probably in one of his pockets, he had much more tha
n he lost in that game Smile
Players of this magnitude, dont even think twice of what happened,
and why they lost "all" that money Smile
He can win that back in just one hand, with the games he plays.

for Helmut, losing $ 95,000 is not at all horrible .... he has enough money so that $ 95,000 would not have been a terrible loss for him ..... and of course he will soon have time to fill all the losses .... and vice versa will be in profit .... it's Helmut Worship

If loosing 100k would mean nothing to him he would not make a post or two about it on instagram reciting the last time he had lost this much in a cash game. So it's either still a bit of money to him or he is just saving face in relation to future coaching opportunities (I am guessing that what he did with Green here...)

Phil Hellmuth's friend taught poker very well if he managed to win a considerable amount even against him. Probably he is not happy too much at this time but is able to recover that money. He is a player with talent and ambition. He will not be upset too long. Blink

Watched the video. He is well known for his temper. Anyone that knows poker pros, knows that Smile
But no matter what, he is one of the best players out there,
and one that has won tons of money playing the game.
I cant say that all his "explosions" are funny, but he has quite a few Smile

Unfortunately, Phil Hellmuth sometimes has his nerves. There are many professionals players who are true gentlemen, because they know how to hide their anger, after losing a hand. Phil Hellmuth could not do this and so he managed to offend more players in the past. I think he's upset now after losing that money and in order not to show this, he found an excuse. Smile
