Land-based casinos normally have CCTV equipment installed in order to help catch any and every suspicious activity lurking at their casino floors. It is mainly designed to catch player cheats. However, in one incident at the Resorts World Sentosa (RWS), their surveillance cameras helped catch one of their very own employees.
A (now former) dealer from RWS allegedly stole at least S$77,000 worth[...] Read more » Casino Dealer at RWS Jailed for Stealing Chips worth around S$77,000, Bought Luxury Goods

Wow 7 years in prison thats sooo much for stealing chips from casino. Anyway he shouldn't steal that much and maybe he wouldn't get caught and he spend money on he Breitling watch worth $6,000, $400 Chanel earrings, Balenciaga shoes and pouch, an iPad mini and an iPhone that isn't his family. He deserved it to be honest.

well,in normal countries you get this kind of punishments and they send message to other people what will happen if somebody else try things like this!ofocurse he can get smaller punishment and to return money, but this is something that must show to other people how law work in their country!
If he was able to steal 77k worth of chips why the hell would he working there anymore? It just does not make sense, I would leave right away make sure leave some of those chips in somebody else's locker room to put the heat on him.
It is very strange that the dealer was able to steal chips for $ 77,000 .... because in all casinos there are cameras that constantly conduct video surveillance and therefore there is almost no chance to steal .... but there are people who think to deceive the system ..... here is a typical representative of such people .... tried to deceive and eventually went to jail .... it seems to me Now it is impossible to commit a crime without a trace

Another very interesting case where a casino employee steals money. He stole many money, if he managed to buy luxury goods, to sent money to his family in China and the casino recovered 77,000 dollars. Now is the time for him to make prison and to return money spent.

I thought he went to jail because HE DID NOT try to deceive anything, he just thought it's okay to show up with luxury goods in work from one week to another without somebody getting some concerns about where are those coming from...
in any case, this person seems to me not to be completely clever .... to commit crimes at work, especially in a casino. This is probably Compare suicide .... because in any case you will be caught ... No matter how brilliant you are anyway you will overtake justice .... so I am once again surprised at the stupidity of the criminal

This man managed to steal handsome but unfortunately for him these camcorders they caught him. If he was not caught, he would have managed to make one million dollars in 2-3 years. He is capable of that but now he will have big problems.

Well and as always jumps from someone who steals haha but that is known to see so much money that move think that sometimes taking a little nose are going to give an account and those who have more are the most stingy and more to control the silver ... although it does not do them anything to donate some money if every time they fill more pockets

Someone who steal can not donate money iif the amount is small. If he manages to steal colossal amounts of money, then surely he can donate, if he has a good soul. If the amounts are small then he risked much to donate because if he's caught, then he enters in the jail and has nothing to gain. It would like a Robin Hood or maybe a wild west cowboy.
