Microgaming Poker Network to Shut Down in 2020

On Friday, September 20, well-known online gaming software provider Microgaming has announced that it has come to a decision to shut down in 2020 the Microgaming Poker Network (MPN), one of the first and most popular online poker operators. That is some big news. It used to be one of the biggest networks in poker,
when the boom started. Too many big sites were in their network,
but after some time they started departing.
It wont be a big change to the poker world though, since all the big sites like
888poker, party, bwin, pokerstars, have taken control...

The network is made up mostly of casino sites, that offer a poker room too. It had its fair share of problems in the past with sites going under, and players struggling to get their money back, as Microgaming refused to step in for defunct members of the network. Not a lot of players will miss it.

Yeah, like Shokaku said, it's hard to re-gain people's trust once you have lost it. The first time I played there I think it was on bet365 (not sure), managed to win money and cash it out but I rememeber the cashout was astruggle. Microgaming network was on so many different sites but the interface and stuff were easy to recognize. I tried ot stay a way from them as there are many better room choices.

It is a business that failed after many years. Online poker is played by many gamblers but they are divided into many poker rooms. When the players are few, a room it does not have the expected success. It is a bad situation for the employers but they have nothing to do.

I never had any struggle to cashout there, I played poker and made some bets on Ladbrokes which was and maybe still on that network. It is a good network to play but as mentioned above it is mostly an online casino site... I will not miss it but it is still a sad news for me.

I think I played at 32Red Poker, one of the MPN skins, a few years ago. I never liked its graphics.
I can't believe iPoker Network (William Hill, bet365, Titan, NetBet, Winner, etc.), one of the most bot-infested online poker networks, is still operating.

iPoker is a much bigger network than MPN, with a larger player base and more prominent member sites making up the backbone of the network. As long as they don`t lose those heavy weights they will most likely continue to operate, even if the traffic there has dropped over the last years.

By googling.
It seems iPoker Network habitually allows bot users to operate without banning them. I believe that has been a nasty issue among (casual) players for years.

its strange that they couldnt do something with this bots accounts and that they made so much problems to them!when we see that this is main reason for closing, that we know what kind of promblem this was for them!but they could pay some company to do this job for them and to clear system from this bots!

I Poker Network allow these bots to play in their poker rooms? This is inadmissible and i am no longer surprised that they have 15-20 rooms and a few players who play there. My opinion is that this network should be closed, if this thig with bots it's true.

Well, the truth is if I screw a little that one is putting money to play and disappears and do not give ball to the claims ... I happen in other things but for now in the site I play I never had problems with that issue and I hope Keep it up because I will want to f**k you hahaha Aww crap! Aww crap! Aww crap!

I´ve got a email from Betsson with the news, that Microgaming are closed in the year 2020. I like the microgaming software and play in poker rooms like Poker Time and Betsson in the past. Another nice network are closed...

when they didnt pay atterniton on this bots and they allowed them to do this kind of things, then what to tell then!now its better for all players that they will close it and that they will try something else!on this way you cant work for so many years and that players dont know anything about it!

I received again a vote with minus even if i'm right. If i wasn't right, then Micro gaming was not shut down in 2020. I do not understand why i receive these votes, when i told the truth? It is really an injustice here, almost as it was in the wild west.

Once Unibet exited the network it has left a sizeable hole in their traffic and they've never recovered. They tried bring in other different sites under the tent but it all went to waste. The 'glory days' never came back.

The days of glory died and i think they will no longer exist in the near future, even if they are going to reopen in few years ( if they are going to do that, of course ). It is painful to spend more time and the owners were not able to make good decisions .

they had there change and didnt take it. i hope more small rooms get the change to thrive, there is such a big monopoly in the industry..

It is not a monopoly in this industry, but there are two poker networks or more which has several rooms each. When you are divided it is not good. Only one room was very good for each network but they didn't want that. I hope it'll be okay for the online poker.
