PhiL Hellmuth might have the most bracelets in WSOP history , but he is 20th in all time money list , guess he has to fix this , by winning some more million of $$ next years , get to the top 10 at least of this money list . Money is what matter at the most ,so as to be considered the best , isn't it so , or shouldn't it be so ??

Honestly today I thought I was not among the great players (historically if I considered it) but he has covered my mouth lately, winning a new bracelet and also a couple of days ago I read the news that he has broken a record after 28 years : maximum number of final tables in a single WSOP: 7 final tables! Impressive

That's right, I saw a video of an omaha hand with 3 players left. Phil left Negreanu on tilt after that hand, but the other guy ended up winning the tournament for both of them. Great campaign at this WSOP for Phil. He incredibly he could not keep the player of the year at the WSOP, because Josh Arieh took it from him!

Last hand I think the wimer had the straight and Hellmuth got 2 two pairs with the draw for FH , but unfortunatelly this did not happen .Hellmuth had many opportunities this year to win more bracelets , he is doing great , but ofcouse the other side of the coin is that you do not know if you are going to run so good next year or years . When an opportunity comes to win , you have to grab it from its hair ...lol
Last week he was close to win his 17th WSOP bracelet. He is already the record holder with sixteen WSOP bracelets but lost the decisive heads-up against Jeremy Ausmus' at the $50,000 Pot-Limit Omaha. It just lasted for 2 hands in advantage to ausmus winning 1.1million dollars. Hellmuth won 734k for being 2nd. Big money again for those players.
Do you think he is just playing for the money? If you've won already that much of money in tournaments. Don't count the money on other tables.. I don't think it's about the money, it's just about the trophies and the fame. All his pricemoney, sponsor deals, etc.. He and his children don't have to worry about anything, if he managed the money wisely.

When we see these people who spend fortunes to pay buy-ins, I think they don't do it for money (or rather, this would be an accessory or secondary). their interest is in winning the bracelets or in breaking records; to be remembered for something more than money. I also don't know if these players sell part of their share (and then have to distribute the profits). But a bracelet is not distributed. And no one will take his name out of history
