Regarding the new rule.  0
Hi Mober.
Do you think it is good or bad for the forum that you need to make at least 5 posts to get the mobpoints paid out.

no matter what we think about rule, they will not change anything if they dont want! on one side they want they more people come on forum, but on other side I see that this members who didnt have single post till now, ruin forum with silly posts where they put just smile or 3 words to collect posts and to make cashout or even worse they open 5 of same threads!

The idea itself is not bad, Trying to get people be more active in a forum is ok. The problem though people who now only chatting to get minimal requirements to cashout and then they just leave, and probably they only comeback to forum, when they need cashout again, if bankrollmob don't cancel this rule.

Normal idea. If the forum asks for a little bit of my care, then no problem. Cool

Man , they give you free cash , and in return 5 or 30 or 50 posts is nothing I would propose to make them more than 5 . Gradually , after some time make them 10 . Then 15 etc . A post with 2 or three lines is nothing . They will not lose time or anything like this . So why not ? Why all this fuss I do not get it ... And they get paid mobpoints at the same time I think .

i think 30 - 50 comments is enough ,but only with 2 lines and a little, because people don't comment often.

Hey Dule vu. Could you tell me whether you received mob points for making that post please?

Thanks. Damo

For this post that you made quote I got 10 points, but for most posts I dont get points no matter how long they are and thats happening for months! When I post news and its first post in thread I get points, like today for two news, but for rest most time dont! Even when I ask admin I get answer that its not purpose to post for points and answer like that! Everything is changed and too bad that is like that! Just wonder does geseco gets points for all 5 posts that he make every day, even he write same things every day! He only write 5 post, so probably just to collect points!

@dule-vu if your posts are good enough , you should take the mobpoints for them , 5 posts maximum as it happens with the rest of the members . I think BRM support is the only one that can help you for this cause

Personally most of the times I receive my mobpoints for the posts . In the past I was writing more posts just to get them , but not irrelevant stuff , or the same things just to fill lines . If I had sth to say , only then I would write a post . If I had sth to comment on lets say 7 posts , I might have decided to write only the 5 posts the one day , the other 2 posts the next day . It's not sth bad. It's by the rules , so why not . Nowadays I write less frequently and I write when I have sth to say , either it's more or less than 5 posts .

In any case you will not get paid only by writing posts . And accumulating 5.000 mobpoints only with the posts , that would demand 3 or 4 months of daily post writing .

On another poker forum that I also am , I write 10-20 posts on a weekly basis on average . There they do not give points or money for the posts directly , but writing posts is a demand so as to have activity on the forum and be able to play their freerolls . If you do not write posts , you have inactivity , and after some inactivity (2 weeks ) you cannot play their freerolls . It's a good motivation to make players more active in the forum . It's not sth bad . Many would write there sth in any case , interact somehow with the others , but these freerolls is an extra motivation to do it more , a lot more frequently . BRM could do the same with it's freerolls someday

in last months no matter how long my posts are I dont get points for most of them! today I got points for two posts but for last days I didnt got single point, only for posting news, but for normal posts didnt and it same question like damosk said!

BRM should give them to you . I think it's the right thing @dule-vu . At least, as long as this rule of mobpoints for posts is in place . If they change it in the future , then we will have no right to ask for mobpoints . But now this rule is in place , you should receive the mobpoints . I hope they give them to you . Smile

I don't believe many members make bad use , excessive use of this rule . I think everything is under control . It's sth good . An extra motivation to write . Why not . And you write often , you deserve them @dule-vu Smile

I dont care so much about points, but if other members get points for their posts, then every member should get it, like damosk say!

Hi Mobsters.

This rule that a member has to make five posts in the forum before they can cash out mob points is an interesting one for which I have pondered long and hard to understand. I’m still not sure I do.

However, my thoughts are, something has changed at BankrollMob. I am not sure how long that rule has been a rule but I do know that the linked question of what do you get mob points for in relation to the forum has become a little unclear.

Why is this a linked point? Well. What is the reason for getting a member to make 5 Forum posts before they can cash out?

Are there any rules relating to those 5 posts or can they just be, like I have seen recently, the member making threads or posts that just have one or two words, maybe saying “thank you for the mob points”.

I honestly do not see the value in enforcing such actions as they are of no value to the forum, members or the site.

So, is there a rule about what kind of post or thread entitles a person to mob points?

We all know that back in the day (not so long ago it may seem) that Mobsters got mob points for up to 5 posts a day, as long as those posts had some relevance and consisted of around 3 lines of text. That was a nice simple rule and most Mobsters understood this and tended to comply.

Currently this rule does not appear to be enough to gain mob points. I have not received any mob points for any forum posts since November, despite complying with and exceeding the 3 line limit as understood. Other Mobsters have also noticed this. I have not seen any nortification of the explanation for this rule. It simply changed.

I have asked for some clarity from Admin, however have been left still not understanding.

I understand that BRM would not want to reward people for meaningless and uninformed forum posts. I would do the same. I also agree that the idea of posting in the forum should not be purely for the process of gaining mob points. However I truly believe there should be a balance and some understandable explanation of what it is that constitutes a suitable post to achieve mob points and how this is determined. People like and live by certainty.

I do not think this is an unreasonable position to expect as in life we all have certain behaviours controlled by the rules of the state (I.e. in this case BRM). In the absence of such rules we see anarchy. I do not dare to think what that looks like in terms of membership or behaviour at the forum.

I for one will continue to engage in the forum when I can, regardless of whether I am rewarded with mob points for what I have to say, but to do so in a vacuum of clarity does not assist anyone and could tend to alienate loyal members.

So, the relevance of quality and quantity is important, but does it also apply to the 5 posts that are required to cash out?

If not, then I simply do not understand the reasoning. If it does I look forward to new members making more quality contributions to the forum.

I know Admin don’t want to tie them selves down to a rule that promotes poor behaviour but as a service provider (even as a freely provided service provider) simple knowledge of the rules always assist the customer.

With best wishes to you all.

Damo

Hi Damo
Things have changed in BRM and it is good for some or bad for others. The withdrawal rules are normal to stimulate traffic on the site. It is not normal for people to withdraw 5,000 mob points and not write anything in the forum.
Points for comments are 10, 5 or nothing and are sometimes awarded, sometimes not.
When i said that things are bad for others, i'm talking about you who commented and didn't get any points for all the comments. We still take points, but not always and i don't know what is happening in your case.
Anyway, it is not a rule to write every day to get points, but sometimes we have to write to make the forum more active and sometimes leave comments that help other members.
Good luck with your games. Big Smile

Poker is an intellectual game, and to see an opinion on a topic from people who have a well-developed intellect is great.
