"" Used his analytical skills "' ??? And got rich by betting on sports with "' analytical skills "" ?? Only ?? I am not naive . Guys who get rich from sports betting , they do this because they have inside information for specific games . That's 100% sure . Or even the result is pre decided and they know it .

Barkley lost $30M playing at casinos ?? Absolutely crazy . How did that happen?? I mean it's a lot of money . I wonder how much he earned throughout all his career .
Phil Ivey is very great poker player . I don't believe anyone will remember this edge sorting scam or whatever in the future after 30 or 50 years , no one gives a fu*" for this story . He is great . Period

playing tens of millions of dollars at the casino is madness from my point of view. 30 million is a huge amount for any player regardless of his wealth. Addiction is to blame.

What do poker and running a business have in common? They both desperately need a business plan (or for poker the bankroll management). I wouldn't recommend starting either without a solid financial plan, though. Poker is a lot easier to figure out than business, where you really need a good financier to help you out.
Here is my bankroll management tip to get you started at poker:
If you prefer to play cash games: Don't put more than 1 / 40 (better 1 / 50) of your total bankroll on the table.
If you're a Sit & Go player, your buy-in should be no more than 5% for 9-handed tables and 6% for 6-handed tables. Speaking of big MTTs: If you stick to 1% per game, you'll be fine.
Of course, you can adjust these percentages to suit your risk profile and increase or decrease them slightly. But the main idea is to stick to this rule as if it were your holy sacrament. This way you will never go broke and every professional player will agree that, a they learn it at first themselves.

there are many professional players, real gamblers, but some are out of the ordinary and have very fascinating results or stories. Their life was always a risk in the games and at the same time it was often a pleasure.
Phil Ivey is the best, he might not win a wsop main event in his lifetime but he will forever be a wealthy man beating all those high rollers and finding loopholes in all sorts of gambling.

It's crazy about the Sultan of Brunei, with that wealth he has he has the luxury of betting amounts like 1 million dollars every day, he knows that his wealth always grows and it doesn't affect him to spend 1 million a day, but for us this is a craziness.
