Release freeroll passwords how many hours in advance?  0   
For the upcoming freerolls that we can only protect with a password, how many hours before it starts should we release the password to our members?

Is 2 hours enough, or 3 hours? It has to be enough for as many members to be able to login and get the password, but not so long time that it will end up at a million "freeroll passwords"-websites.

Dont see why anyone would need more than 30 mins.
so it tourn at 02.00 just log on to site around 01.30, then come check here (i guess) for password (in user account not thread) then away they go.
The only problem i cna see is that you may end up with 200-300 users online.(on BRM)

We won't be able to e-mail out the passwords, that would be 80,000 e-mails every 2nd day of the week Smile

Passwords will only be visible to logged in members. Maybe we should try and release them 1 hour before it starts.

A bit to short. One or two hours at least.

30 mins are only enough for people who only need one second to act on a hand.

I think this is a long time though!

At other 'freeroll' websites, they only release the password 10 minutes before start.

I think 10-30 minutes before start is too short time, but I don't know for sure. We can easily edit it if it turns out that 2 hours is way too much.

If the site can handle it, 30 minutes is more than enough. If you want to join the freeroll, you're online anyway...

1 or 2 hour will be good. Because maybe you are online, but you can forget to register.
A longer term is suitable for all type of members.

well i had to get a few passwords for the freerolls with pkrnation and they usually put the password up 1 hour before it starts and that is usually enough
