You know that those tourneys have a HUGE variance? So staking someone for one tourney is not a good idea. That guy would play way above his normal level too.
Yep it's not really a good idea because " That guy would play way above his normal level too " unless it's someone who usually play those and normally do ok. For example a player having quite the same level as Annette_15

Posted by Firework21 and if you have money to stack someone on the 50/50 you dont need him you have youre own bankroll.....
You can have the money but not the skills to play a level higher. So with the BR you have and a level higher you bust in the long run. So staking a good player who is profitable at that higher level wud be a good investment.

a lot of pro"s stake people to, for insurance reasons, lets say a $10.000 buy in tournament, a pro may make deals with 3,4,5 or more other players that he knows have a good chance, 5% of 5 other players winnings (if any) and any winnings the pro himself gets he pays out 5% to 5 or how many players he has deals with, its quite common, and makes good sense. The good staking or skating sites out there are very well run and the players are very very good, you can even invest on a players anual earnings, he takes out a certain amount for expences, and most tell you how much they are going to stake fellow players in tournys, if your interested i suggest you check it out, it was a real eye opener to me.
