Hi all,
I've got to the point where I can play a good game of poker (live and online), but I have next to no long term bankroll managment. Does anyone have any direct pointers I could stick to to help me with my long term game?
Thanks alot,
Andy

If you want to do good bankroll management you better do it save. Many people say 20 or 30 buyinns is enough, but i think its better to do 50 buyinns or even more. With 50 buyinns you never get ''scared money'' so its really save.

No one can tell you what the perfect bankroll management would be for you. Many things have influence on how your bankroll management should be, with higher variance you need tighter brm:
What games are you playing? Omaha for example has higher variance than NLHE.
Cash, S&G or MTT? (MTT has highest variance and thereby need the tightest brm)
Are you playing fullring, shortring or HU? (HU has the highest variance)
Are you LAG or TAG? (LAGs has the highest variance)
Do you often tilt? (if yes you need tighter brm and should incorporate this into you brm too).
Are you flexible or do you expect to play same level every day?
If you are willing to step down immediately when things go wrong you can really push you bankroll to the limit but I wouldn't recommend this.
Do you have funds to deposit if things should go wrong or is your bankroll your total bankroll?
Like doomdy I think between 20-50 BI's is a good start for a low limit cash player. If you are playing S&G I would double it and say 40-100 BI's and MTT I don't know much about but a guess would be 300BI's.
So it's really up to you how risky you are with your money, how is your financial status, how is your poker personality and which games are you playing.
Hope it clarified things if not shoot and I'll try to explain my self

That just seemd like a long version of what I asked Turbo? Only my response would have been longer. Do you play at William Hill out of curiosity M3turbo?

No I play on Ipoker, Ongame, Boss and Party but only on the skins that have EU-class 3 license the rest of them are tax related for me and for some reason I don't feel like putting half of my winnings in the tax offices black box
I guess you are playing on WH since you're asking??

Haha I just point out the things you should take in consideration when choosing how tight your bankroll management should be. It is not as simple as blinds and game if you want a good bankroll management. But I think I included the most important things in #9 so that's how long the book would be
